A summary of the plot

The book tells the story of an 10 year old boy named August. August was born with a genetic syndrome. He did 27 surgeries just to be able to breath and do things like everyone else, but even if he could do the same things as everyone else he didn't look like everyone else. That's why he studied until he was 11 in homeschooling but now his parents sent him to a private school

to study with children his age. In the book, August is seen dealing

with the children's reactions and making friends.

In addition the book is told from different perspectives of August,

August's sister Via, August's friends Summer and Jack and Via's friends Justin and Miranda.

In the design of the new cover you actually see two people. A completely normal kid like everyone else and a monster. The rainbow between them symbolizes that they are basically the same character only from different points of view of people.

The goal is to emphasize that beauty comes from inside and that you

character to see it.

The characters...

The main character-

August Pullman is a main character. His family like to call him Auggie.

August had 27 surgeries that help him to breath, hear and see because he was born with a rare genetic syndrome. August is a sensitive boy, he also kind and very smart.

The secondary character (summer)-

Summer is a sweet and kind little girl that loves smiling and helping others people. When other children afraid to talk and be close to August, she was open and brave to be his friend, she didn’t care what other children thought about her.

The character I like the least:

The character I like the least is Julian. He tries to be nice to impress the manager but his behavior is fake. he doesn't Hide the fact that he doesn't like Auggie and doesn't really want to know him and tries to hurt him again and again. He treats Auggie like a bully.

Book Recommendation:

I recommend the book "Wonder" because it is a realistic and touching book. It tells the story of one child out of thousands who go through similar things just because they are different from society. The book is full of surprises and it's hard for you to stop reading .its really open your eyes. The fact that the book is told from someone's point of view makes you feel like you're part of the story.
