 water, filled with all kinds of things! There is sand and seaweed in the ocean. There are also animals in the ocean! Keep reading to learn more about all the animals you can find in the ocean!

The first animal in the ocean that we will learn about is a dolphin! Dolphins live in the ocean and breathe through a blowhole on the top of their head. Dolphins are very playful and curious animals.

The best time to see dolphins is when the sun is rising and setting!

Fun Fact: Dolphins can jump up to 20 feet in the air!

The next animal that lives in the ocean is a whale! Whales are large creatures that breathe air! Since whales are not fish, they must come up from the water to breathe.

Did you know whales have blowholes on top of their heads? Just like dolphins!

The next animal that we can find in the ocean is a shark! Sharks are fast swimming fish. They are family members to the rays! 

Most sharks like warm waters. There are about 300 different species of sharks. Sand sharks swim in shallow water on the sand.

A Portuguese shark swims in the deepest parts of the ocean. A Greenland shark, unlike most sharks, swim in the Arctic cold water.

Fun Fact: Sharks are one of the oldest animals on Earth.
