While the dough is rising, using a small heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out heart shapes from the pepperoni slices. Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface.

Roll out the pizza dough into a large 12 inch circle and then form the dough into the shape of a heart.

It’s not that hard to do. First roll the dough into the usual round shape and then slowly move the dough so it’s in the shape of a heart. Don’t be afraid to “play” with the dough while it’s flat on the parchment paper.
