LLED 401 Block 5

Once upon a time, in a castle far far away, lived a King, a Queen, and their only daughter Mia. The royal family seemed to have a perfect life, filled with lots of happiness. Unfortunately, this was not always the case...

Mia did not have a lot of friends and was often left alone while her parents tended to the day-to-day tasks of their kingdom.
"This is grown-up stuff Mia," They would tell her, "You wouldn't understand, you are just too young."
One day, Mia decided she was going to leave the castle and venture out into the land. She had never done this before since she was forbidden to leave the castle, but she was ready for an adventure!
Mia snuck past her guards and ran so fast until she felt that she was free. She decided she was going to take a walk through the forest and do some exploring.
As she entered the luscious forest, she noticed birds, deer, bunnies, flowers, and lots of tall trees. She filled with excitement!

As Mia wandered through the forest, she came across a little Redwood tree. The little tree was sad and crying.
"Why are you crying Redwood tree?"
"All the other trees think I am different because I cannot grow as tall as them. I have no one to talk to now that they have all grown up...I am all alone!" said the little tree.
Mia sat down next to the sad tree, "Oh Redwood tree, I know how you feel, I do not have any friends either and always feel alone...why don't we become friends?"
"That sounds like a great idea!" said the Redwood tree. "Let's be best friends!"
Mia and the Redwood tree talked for a few hours, laughing and sharing stories when suddenly, the forest grew cold and dark.
Out of the shadows came an old witch!
"Well if it isn't the little princess out in the forest away from her precious family...wouldn't it be a shame if the kingdom's favorite princess was taken away?" the old witch proclaimed with a cackle.
