One day, there were two second-grade friends named Jeffrey and Brighton. 

It was a Saturday afternoon, and they were playing video games outside Brighton’s house.

And then, suddenly, they got sucked into Brighton’s video game screen.

They entered a strange, dark land.

Brighton and Jeffrey were very frightened and very nervous.

They decided to shout for help.

They shouted, “Help, help!” but no one answered.

Jeffrey started to cry.  Brighton comforted him.  He said, “Don’t worry, Jeffrey!  We’ll get out of this world somehow!"

Just then, Brighton noticed a teeny, tiny spider in the grass.  The spider said, “Please give me some food.  I’m hungry and weak."

Don't worry!

Please feed me!

The boys gave the spider some candy that was in their pockets. The spider ate it, and then he turned into a giant spider.

The spider announced, “Hop on my back!  I’ll take you home.  Hold on tight, boys!”
