     I'm Brody. Brody Lindauer. I just got 

woken up by my mom. I was so tired that 

when she told me to get out of bed and get 

dressed, I couldn't even move!

     I got out of bed and finally, I looked at 

my alarm clock and it said 2:09! I got 

dressed and (I was wearing a checkered 

shirt and jeans!) headed outside. We (Me 

and my sister Mollie!) didn't even get to 

have breakfast because my mom said we 

were...

going on a trip. I jumped in my 

grandparent's Expedition and we went on 

our trip.

     Then, my mom said, "Surprise! We're 

going to Illinois!" Mollie and I took our 

headphones off and shouted,"Yippee!" I 

was ecstatic! 

     'Were going to Illinois!' I thought. I 

couldn't wait! But, my mom & dad said, 

"Get comfortable, we're going to be here a 

loooooooong time!"

     So I turned on my hot pad and... 

...went back to watching my movie. I was so exited 

when I heard my mom say that it would be 16 minutes 

till we get there!!!!!!!!

     We finally got there! Oh, I forgot, we have to 

get through the condo business. Oh, when I saw that 

pool

they always have for condos, I ALMOST screamed!!!!!

(I LOVE swimming!!!!!!!!!!!)

     As I was saying, I was in heaven with that pool! 

But, we had to pay for the condo first. It was a 

beautiful day so my dad said,"You can play in the pool 

now!"

     So, I shouted, "Hurray!!!!" I was so exited! I played 

in the pool for a half an hour. (30 minutes!) 

     Then, I met this boy named Derek. We played Star 

Wars the Clone Wars. I was Luke Skywalker. He was 

Anaken Skywalker. Then, we went to Chuy's to eat. I had 

ice cream and a cherry and wiped cream for dessert. 

Mmmmmmmmmm! So, so, so, so, so,so, so, so, 

good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

     I was full! I said, "When are we   going home? I'm 

pooped!" So we went back to the condo and I got my  

pajamas on and went to sleep. I thought that it was...

... awesome that I got to go to Chicago, but I still knew 

that on Sunday we might be leaving and going to our

real home, but I don't know what else we will do before 

we leave. No matter what, we will go home.

     I fell asleep. I woke up at 7:00 in the morning. I 

woke up to find my mom saying,"Rise and shine, today 

we are going on a surprise trip!" I was ecstatic! I 

jumped into my clothes immediately!I love trips!

     I ran down the stairs and opened the door that led 

down to an ally. I dashed through the ally and dashed to 

the car, I finally got to the Expedition and jumped in and 

said,"When...

...will we go?!!" 

     My mom replied a few seconds later. "Now, were 

going to LEGOLAND!!" said my mom.

     We finally pulled into Lego Land. It looked really, 

really, cool!

     It had a 50 ft. giraffe made out of LEGOS! And it had 

a bench with a life size man, and it was COMPLETELY 

MADE OUT OF LEGOS!!!!!!!!!! It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

     Like, OUT OF THIS WORLD KIND OF 

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I jumped out of the 

car first because if you didn't know, I LOVE 

LEGOLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ran as fast as I could to 

LEGOLAND! It was soooooooooo cool on the outside! 

     'Now what about inside?!' I thought.
