Once upon a time…  All the stories start like this...

 But this story is different. This is a colourful story

In the beginning, it was all darkness; well, not totally. There was a dim light, coming from a distant star that only allowed the shadows to wrap around, entangle, twist, and return in an almost mechanical dance. 

Welcome to the Dark planet!

On this colourless planet everything went smoothly. There was only a strange feeling of emptiness.

The shadows that lived there approached her curiously and immediately retreated with fear, hiding behind each other. In the urgency of finding out who was that strange being, the silence broke:

-It is me ! Princess Iris!          

-Where do you come from? Where do you live?

- I come from a place slightly bigger than a house. I visited many planets, but I have never seen one like this.

- What is it about our planet? - asked the king suspiciously

.

            - It´s very curious. It´s plunged in darkness, just like my heart.

-Ah! Ah! Ah! – laugh the shadows in choir  

- Why? Is there anything beyond the darkness? - asked the king.

- What is the light? – The king wanted to know.

- Light is the junction of all colours, illuminating all beings with their splendour.

-What are the colours anyway? – asked the shadows impatiently

It was then, that the princess remembered of her friends, The Colours, who set off in a colourful race, painting everything around them, bringing happiness to the saddest and darkest corners of the universe.

The princess stopped for an instant to reflect on it. And then she decided to talk about her feelings and emotions. She knew that the feelings and emotions can be related with colours, and those, for their turns influence all beings. This was the only way to make them understand.

And thus began her speech:

- “The essential is invisible to the eyes; it can only be seen through the heart.” Through the heart, I'll show you the colours.

First she spoke about the colour red, the colour of love, the love of family, the love of her beautiful and vibrant red rose, the love for her feelings and for herself.

Then she spoke about yellow, the colour of joy, the colour of friendship and the colour of the sun.

After yellow, she presented the colour green as the colour of hope and the nature in general and described the greatness of trees and the beauty of Mother Nature.

The blue colour followed. The colour of the sky and the colour of all the children dreams, who still believe in fairies and elves.

Finally, purple. The colour of anger, that feels like a volcano ready to explode inside of us.

These and other colours form a large coloured pallet that brings us to happiness.

The words of the little princess started to awake the consciousness of the Dark planet and a harsh metamorphosis began. The shadows were finally ready to come out of the darkness and be conquered by the colours.
