There was a battle between the gods and the asuras. Raktabija, a ferocious demon, was impossible to fight with. The goddess Kali, and her army, tried to kill raktabija. But when a drop of blood came from him, a clone of himself would appear again. Kali licked all his drops of blood and not a single drop was on the ground.
Finally, she killed Raktabija. Kali was so happy, that she started killing everyone!
Everyone rushed to Lord Shiva and asked him to save them. Lord Shiva lay on the ground of the battlefield. Kali didn't notice and stepped on Shiva. Then she noticed, Shiva was beneath her!
She was embarrassed, so she thrust out her tongue in disgust and moved back. She stopped killing everyone, and everyone was releived.
