For everyone

Hi Sara! I have a question.
What is it Clara?
What did black people do when they were not allowed to be with whites?
We are going back in time looking what black people did without whites and how unfair it is back then than today! Now, black people were treated unfairly. Why? because of their skin color. Lets meet some people who had been in the year that people were unfairly treated because of skin color.
1# Martin Luther King Jr
Martin was a activist. An activist is someone who brings about change. Anyway, he led many speeches. One of his most famous speech is called I have a dream. But sadly he was killed in 1968. Yolanda Renee King is still making change by her grandpa. Its still happening today still.

Clara: Who else was an activist?
Sara: There is a kid activist too! her name is Bellen Woodard. She is a crayon activist.
Clara: Why was she an activist?
Sara: Because she noticed that people kept calling the peach crayon a "skin color crayon"
Bellen made the more than peach project packet and has different skin tones. Not just peach. "I want to make sure that everyone has a crayon that represents them," she says.
