Welcome to America, Land of the free and
home of the brave! Today's story is about how
America is the best country ever!

Once upon a time, in downtown New York,
there was a lone stick figure, named Sparta,
with a dream. A dream that he would become
rich and famous like his parents.
Unfortunately, they died without writing a will,
leaving Sparta with nothing. Ligers got the
best of them, but I don't want to go into detail.

He eventually found a bench down the road
which he decided to spend the night on. This
was one of the coldest nights of his life. He
had no one to comfort him except for a
peculiar looking bird that sat upon a wall. He
didn't mind though, he just went to sleep,
hoping that the next day would bring some
good luck.

As he woke up from his sleep, he found the
bird flying around like a hawk would over his
pray.
"Dang bird, get outta here!" said Sparta.
"Squack!" cried the bird.
"Wow, I'm never going to get rich and famous,
I'm just going to die of starvation." wept the
boy.
"Don't say that, here in America, anything is
possible!"
"Who said that?" as Sparta looked around for
the speaker.
"It's me, Chad the bird." squacked the bird

"Yea? And what do you want, a cracker?"
"No, I want to help you achieve your goals and
become successful!"
"How are you going to do that?"
"Follow me and I'll show you!"

From that point on, Sparta listened to Chad
and did everything he told him. He spent a full
8 years in college to learn about medicines and
diseases so he could become a doctor. He got a
short-term job. Sparta even started to brush
his teeth. Life was going great with Chad by
his side.

"Ahh this is great isn't is Chad? I finally have a
full life to live! And it's all thanks to you!" said
Sparta cheerfully.
"Actually i should probably get going now, i
think my work here is done." replied Chad.
"What! Why do you have to go? I don't know
what I'd do without you!"
"Well you see, I have a confession to make. I
am no gift from the heavens. Before your
parents died, they trained me for years, so
that I could look after you should anything
disastrous happened."

"So my parents really did leave me
something."
"Yes, thanks to them, you have a great life,
Sparta"
"Thanks for all your help Chad!"
And with that, Chad was gone.
