WHAT ARE HACKERS

WHAT ARE HACKERS

Hackers are people who steal personal belongings or informations online. These people are called cyber crimes or hackers. There are different types of hackers, such as hackers who trick people in E-mails and some hackers make money by stealing people’s information and login to some dark websites.

COMPUTER VIRUSES

WHAT TYPES OF VIRUSES ARE THERE?

There are many types of viruses, such as Spy Eye, MyDoom, Pikachu Virus, ILOVEYOU and Brontok.

There are also even more different types of computer viruses, these are the most common computer viruses. Some of these viruses are spread all around the world.

                    SPY EYE

Spy Eye is a software that attacks users that use Google Chrome, Opera, FireFox and some of other more softwares by a Windows computer. This is a very dangerous software because it maybe will steal your passwords or your personal online belongings.

MYDOOM

    MyDoom is a virus/worm hybrid was created in Russia at 2004. It infected lots of computers around the world. It also has multiple backdoors to make the other MyDooms to enter the computer. There are also A LOT of variants of MyDoom.

ILOVEYOU is a virus from the Philippines that uses "love" emails to trick people to go there. It disguises itself as a text file but it’s a .vbs file and when you enter, the virus is there. Some people are making it stronger.

The Pikachu virus is another type of computer virus. It spread and attacks people online by mailboxes that's from strangers.

WORMS

Computer worms are like viruses but more powerful, they could infect others by using vulnerabilities of the victim's computer, and it's more infectious than viruses because it could escape to other files.

WHAT ARE WORMS

BLASTER WORM

Blaster worm is a worm from China, some Chinese people reverse-engineered the first Microsoft patch in 2003 it infected Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

MORRIS WORM

The Morris worm was the first worm in computer history. It terrorized a lot of people in 1998 because they didn’t  know there was a worm in their emails but luckily, it had a coding problem.

CODE SHIKARA

Code Shikara is a worm that attacks through social engineering. In 2011, a Danish security company found this worm in lots of countries in Europe and the Middle East.
