Hi Everyone! My name is Belle, the Monarch Butterfly! I want to tell you about how I became a beautiful butterfly!

It all started when my mama butterfly laid eggs on a leaf; those little white dots are my siblings and I!

Stage 1

Out of the egg I come! I am now larva, but you can call me a caterpillar. As you can see, I ate all the leaf that my egg was on so I could become big and strong!

Now that I am nice and big, it is time for my transformation! During this stage, I will build myself a little house called a "chrysalis" or "pupa." During this change, my body will take on a new form through a process called metamorphosis.
