There once was a little girl, named Fallon, who grew up in a small town with her brother Luke and their parents. She went to elementary school, played with her dogs and family at home, and loved all things music.
While Luke liked to play baseball, Fallon would sing and dance all day. It was her absolute favorite thing to do.

One night, as Luke and Dad were preparing for a big baseball game, Mom took Fallon to her very first summer music festival, where she got to see her favorite singers play live! At that moment, Fallon thought, "I want to be just like them when I grow up!" That is when her spark truly began.

Summer Music Festival!

"These people are amazing!"
As Fallon got older, music blossomed into her passion, and she dreamed more and more of becoming a famous artist. Her brother often influenced her with his successes, so when she got into middle school, she began chorus, dance, and instrument lessons, where she could truly shine. Fallon loved it!
But after a while, some people felt otherwise…

"Okay, girls! Now we are going to learn the plié."
There was a group of girls in Fallon's chorus class that often made fun of her singing. The meanest of them all was Darlene, and she bullied Fallon every single day.
After a couple of weeks, Fallon got very upset with herself. She came home crying every night.

Welcome to Chorus!

Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti Do

"Hahaha!"
"Fallon sounds like a dolphin! Her voice won't stop squeaking!"

One afternoon, Fallon's dad overheard her sobbing in the bedroom. He asked her what was wrong, and she eventually told him everything.
Fallon's dad said, "There will always be people who don't believe in you or don't treat you right, and that's okay. You just need to remember to keep doing what makes YOU happy. You are an amazing girl and we all love you." Afterward, Mom and Luke came in and they all gave her a hug.

Don't be upset, I love you.
It seemed as though that is exactly what Fallon needed to keep chasing after her goals. From that day forward, she ignored Darlene and her group of friends. Fallon continued to practice doing what she loved most.
Darlene quickly became uninterested in the new Fallon, who continued to ignore her comments and jokes.

Solo Day!
Today, everyone will perform
their solo pieces!

"Nice job, Fallon!"
"No one likes me anymore."
"We'll always like you!"

A couple of years went by, and as high school came along, Fallon sprouted into one of the best musicians and dancers in all of her classes.
One day, as she was walking into the chorus room, there was a signposted for the county talent show. The winner won $1,000 and would be able to perform as an opener for the annual summer music festival!
She immediately signed up, ironically, right underneath Darlene's name.

Fallon was determined to win this. She came up with a showstopping number, kept practicing, and no longer had the fear that others would put her down.
Despite Fallon's teachers and friends telling her that this was a very difficult contest to win, Fallon was sure she could do it.

"Remember, Fallon, this is a very competitive talent show."
"I know, but I can do it! Thank you again for letting me use the dance studio to rehearse!"

The day has arrived!
Once Fallon, Luke, and their parents made it to the talent show, Fallon admired the enormous stage. Her family found their seats, and she set up in her dressing room to get ready for the big moment.
Oddly enough, Fallon passed by Darlene backstage, who stared at her. She hasn't spoken with Darlene much since middle school, so Fallon wasn't worried about it.
DRESSING ROOMS
------>

"I wonder why she is looking at me? Oh well..."
But, as soon as Fallon went on stage to rehearse, her microphone was off! When she went back into her dressing room to try and find another one, she noticed that all of her stuff was gone!
She looked everywhere, but all of her lyrics, rehearsal notes, clothes, shoes, and makeup were nowhere to be found.
Just then, she heard the crowd go wild as the judges arrived. While Fallon panicked, the stage manager walked in to tell her that she would perform in 10 minutes!

"That outfit and those shoes aren't mine! All of my stuff is gone! What am I going to do!!"

"Ten minutes till showtime!"

Fallon had no idea what to do. This was a complete crisis! She was overwhelmed, scared, and about to be sick. She ran into the bathroom down the hall and started crying.
Fallon wondered who could have done this to her. At this point, she felt like giving up.
