I dedicate this book to all of us who went through quarantine because of COVID-19, to all of us who discovered new things and to all of us who faced the problem.
The quarantine made me discover that before I was completely happy, I spent time with my friends we went to hang out together, I could live with tranquility ... but as many say we do not know what we have until we lose it as it happened to me, in this book I tell you my experience I hope you enjoy it.

For over a year I have been locked in my house because of a virus, this was the longest year of my life, I will tell you the story from the beginning.
My name is Salome I am from Colombia and I have been living in the USA for 2 years I am in 8th grade and I still don't have a very good English.
Last year, I remember that on YouTube I saw videos about a virus that people had the city of Wuhan China, but from what they said the virus had not left China, one day in Social Studies class I was talking to a friend.
Friend- Can you imagine if the virus came and they closed the school? it would be nice to take a break from school, right?
Me- Yes but it would be good for a few days.
And I was right, it was fun only for a few days
I remember when they closed the school for protection I was doing my math homework and I get a call from my friend.
Friend - Salo! What are you doing?
Me- Math homework and you?
Friend- Do you want to play Roblox?
Me- I'm doing homework.
Friend- You don't know? They closed the schools for quarantine.
Me- Really? I can't believe it.
Friend- Shall we play?
Me - Ok.

At first it was fun I was on the phone and playing video games with my friends until playing was boring, and we had nothing more to talk about. Now I remember when you turned on the news channel you only saw the coronavirus numbers and no one was out so there were no stories to tell although there were pictures of animals going back to their homes since we humans were not there to bother them. It was nice to see them. Also, on the bright side, I wouldn't have to be cold anymore going to school in the snow, (although I really enjoyed going to school when everything was full of snow I thought it was beautiful). I was very bored at home.
I still didn't know what was coming. In the first month of the closure already in the United States 5,799,046 cases of COVID-19 had been reported! Quarantine after quarantine, I studied some papers I picked up at my school, which I hardly understood. Until finally the school had a website where we could study, it was better than the papers but it didn't compare to going to school in person. When finally I started going in person, it was weird wearing masks and not being able to socialize as before with my classmates, although of course it was much better than being remote. At home it was very easy to lose focus and sometimes the internet would fail which made everything more frustrating.
