Angela, a mermaid, is disguised as a beautiful woman, waiting at a train stop. She looks around for a cute guy as her next victim.
Angela: I can't believe it's so slow today! I've only been waiting for a few hours but I'm starving! (She starts scrolling through her dating apps on her phone. A young man rushes in, brief case in hand, very clearly out of breath.)
Darren: No--no! That's my train! I can't believe I'm going to be late again! For the third time this month!

Angela: (Thinking to herself.) Oh, he's cute! If he missed his train, maybe I can snatch him up. (With a smile, she approaches Darren and puts a hand on his shoulder.)
Darren: (Flustered at the unexpected touch.) Oh, hello Miss. I'm sorry I didn't see you there.
Angela: That's alright. I'm afraid that was my train, too. I'm new in the area so I don't know my way around. (She suddenly looks away, blushing and fidgeting as if shy.)
Darren: Ah, well. We were all new once, weren't we? (He smiles charmingly.) My name is Darren.
Angela: Angela. (She plays coy. Suddenly, an audible sound of her stomach gurgling with hunger breaks the tension. Darren grins wider and stifles a laugh while Angela holds her stomach, feigning deep embarrassment.) Oh--Oh my!
Darren: Sounds like breakfast to me! (He sighs and runs his hand through his hair.) Well, the next train isn't for twenty minutes. There's a cafe nearby with the most wonderful croissants.

Darren escorts Angela through the bustling morning crowd, gently steering her towards a nearby cafe.
Darren: I recommend the "Cafe Ooh-La-La". It has little bits of cinnamon that balance the coffee without being too sweet.
Angela: That does sound good.... (She appears hesitant.)
Darren: I insist. (He turns to the barista.) One Cafe Ooh-La-La and one house coffee with light cream.
Angela and Darren sip their coffees. Darren politely makes small talk to fill the silence, telling Angela about how to navigate the city, which restaurants he recommends. Angela, reminded of her hunger, begins to grow impatient.
Angela: (Smiling stiffly.) I do appreciate everything you've done for me... (She pauses.)
Darren: But...?
Angela: (She takes a dramatically deep breath.) It's just... so hard. You know? Being a girl alone in a new place. It's scary.
Angela's eyes glitter with tears. Darren looks slightly alarmed, but the urge to comfort a crying girl outweighs his reluctance.
Darren: (Quietly.) That does sound tough. (A few moments pass, but Darren doesn't seem to get Angela's hint. She tries a more flirtatious approach.)
Angela: (Taking Darren by the hand.) You're the nicest person I've met so far. Your girlfriend must be very lucky to have you. I bet she'd be so jealous you were helping a poor lost girl like me.
