Once upon a time there was a wolf named Luna who 

lived in the woods all alone. Sometimes she would pass by 

other wolf packs, but she would never say hello, she just 

observed them. Luna wasn’t sad though because she 

loved to watch the other pups play, however she did not 

know what is was like to really live and enjoy 

life.

One day while Luna was hunting rabbits she came 

across two wolves she had never seen before. “Hi 

there little lady. My names Champ and this is my 

sister Brook. We couldn’t help but notice you were 

hunting alone and were wondering if you needed 

some partners,” barked the bigger one. “Yeah it’s 

better to hunt in packs anyways,” added Brook. 

“I hunt alone,” growled Luna. She was not 

interested in making friends because she enjoyed 

a life of solitude. “Come on now, it’s no fun to be 

alone all the time! Have some fun,” said Champ. 

Luna looked at the two inviting faces in front of 

her and knew she couldn’t pass up the offer. 

“Fine. I guess one round of hunting won’t hurt.”

Brooks face lit up as she howled, “That’s the 

spirit!”

Luna was surprised by how much fun she had. 

She learned knew hunting techniques and caught 

more rabbits than she ever had in her life. Luna 

showed Brook and Champ how to make snowmen 

and they had a huge snowball fight. They raced 

each other down every hill. Luna even almost beat 

Champ. “Thanks for such a great day. I’m so glad 

I met you guys!” 

As Champ and Brook made their way back to their 

pack Luna couldn’t help but feel sad. She really 

liked Champ and Brook and wanted to hang out 

with them more. Luna didn’t want to be a lone 

wolf anymore. She wanted friends. 

Luna woke up the next day feeling very sad 

because she thought Brook and Champ would 

never come back. However to her surprise, the 

next day Brook and Champ came bounding up the 

hill to play again. That day they had even more 

fun than the day before. They made snow cones 

and went sledding
