Species and Types

There are three known species of wolves which are Gray wolves, Red wolves, and Eastern wolves. There are many types of wolves such as Arctic wolves, Mexican wolves, and Eurasian wolves.

Diet (What They Eat)

Wolves are carnivores, which means they eat meat. They eat large hoofed mammals such as deer, elk, bison, and moose. They also eat small mammals such as beavers, rodents, and hares.

Characteristics

Wolves are highly intelligent animals. They are caring, playful, and they are devoted to family. Also, they educate their young, they take care of injured family members and live in family groups. 

Sounds That They Make

Wolves bark, whimper, growl, and howl.
