Diet
Rabbits eat hay, grass and weeds. They need food to survive. wild rabbits eat weeds, grasses, clover, wildflowers, and flower and vegetable plants. House rabbits eat hay, a smaller amount of fresh vegetables, and a limited number of pellets. Hay is the most important part of a rabbit's daily intake. Unlimited, high-quality grass hay, such as Timothy, orchard or brome, should make up the bulk of a rabbit's diet.
for destert they eat forbs, shrubs, cacti, leaves, fruits, and seeds of other plants. They get most of their water from the plants they eat, or from the moisture that forms on top of plants, like dew.
In yards rabbits eat broad-leafed weeds, clover, grasses, leaves, shoots, roots, fruit, berries,vegetables. In winter, rabbits will eat bark of trees and shrubs, buds, twigs, blackberry and raspberry canes bushes. Although they can be quite a nuisance, you can get rid of rabbits from your garden.
Artic rabbits eat woody plants, mosses, and lichens which they may dig through the snow to find in winter. In other seasons they eat buds, berries, leaves, roots, and bark.
