Once upon a time, there was a puppy named Rascal who lived in a remote area in upstate New York with three of his friends. 

Rascal and his friends loved to go on adventures in the woods by his friend's house. His friends names are Mary, Bobby, and Carl. 

Hey, Rascal want to go on an adventure?

Bobby used to be really close to his dog Rascal until he got a little older, and started to care less about him. 

Only reason Bobby took him on a walk was because of his mom. 

Mary, Bobby, and Carl started off on their adventure with Rascal. They were planning on going with their adventure into the forested mountains. Bobby told his friends, " don't worry about Rascal that much let's just focus on what we are doing." 

Carl told Bobby," we should hike until 8 pm. Then set up camp." Bobby and Mary liked that idea because they were all so tired. 

"Let's set up camp right in front of these trees," said Mary. 

" That's a great idea," said Carl and Bobby. 

Rascal was so tired from walking all day up the mountain. He just wanted to sit down and relax

They set up camp.

Time to sleep

"I'm tired of that looking after that dog," Bobby told Carl. 

Carl said, "yeah that dog has been slowing us down."

Little did they know Rascal heard what they said about him. Rascal felt really sad and decided to run away. 

Ugh that stupid dog 

In the morning when Bobby, Carl, and Mary woke up. 

"Where's Rascal he usually barks in the morning," pointed out by Mary. 

"You're right" replied Bobby.

They all went out and looked for him.
