Hundreds and hundreds of years ago, the sky was redder than any red color you have ever seen. In that beautiful red color sky, there lived a man. This man was not just an ordinary man; he was The Cloud Man. This so-called Cloud Man lived on the most gigantic and cloudiest cloud in a cloud castle fit for a king. The Cloud Man owned the red sky, and all his ancestors had adored, prided, and loved that sky ever since it was made. However, there was another man who lived in our atmosphere, on a huge asteroid that circled the earth. This other man's name was Aster. Aster and The Cloud Man were THE best enemies and best friends ever since this story; I am about to tell you happened and changed everything from Sunset to Dawn.
The Cloud Man's castle was happier than the sun that certain morning. It was the time that The Cloud Man's entire family got together to honor their red sky with a feast of delightful delicacies, amazing music, and joyful praises. On the other hand, Aster and his family were also getting together that morning to figure out how to get rid of the red sky that bothered them so much. You see, living on an asteroid that circled the earth following the sun had some disadvantages. There was no night, no changes when going in circles, which meant that Aster and his family would always be staring at a red, red, and more red sky their whole lifetimes.
Aster and his descendants hated the color red, but they loved blue, sweet blue. Unfortunately, the only blue color nearby was a shimmering blue nebula that sparkled like sapphires. Sly Aster thought to himself, "Hmmmm, what if I create some way to scoop the blue color out of that nebula, which is not too far from here, and dump that beautiful blue into the earth's atmosphere to take away the red sky." Aster didn't know it, neither did The Cloud Man and most likely not you either, that those few sly words Aster had spoken would change the whole world forever.
Now, you must understand that Aster was not a nice kind of guy that would let a celebration of a red sky go on forever and ever. No, no, no, not at all. In fact, Aster was so fierce and so tired of that red sky that he made his whole family make a gigantic tub as big as the nebula. " Scoop as much as you can of the blue nebula into the tub," Aster ordered impatiently."The horrid red sky awaits our magnificent blue!" Silently, as though not to disturb The Cloud Man's celebration, Aster pushed and pushed the blue color into the Earth's red sky. Instantly, it covered half of the Earth's atmosphere until the sun's rays froze it in place. The Cloud Man felt a change and looked out his cloudy window. The look that came upon The Cloud Man's face was one that I can't describe, and you can't even imagine.
A face of surprise, horror, distress, anguish, and pain. He screamed out, "The sky is blue, the sky is blue!" The whole family rushed together and realized that their prided red sky was gone forever. The celebration instantly ended. The Cloud Man spoke, " Family, I don't know why our beautiful red sky is blue, but whoever did this will pay the cost of..... REVENGE!!! We shall destroy the crime maker and take back our red sky!" A cheer when up from the listening family members. Soon after, through some investigation, The Cloud Man finally found who had done the horrific deed. Aster, the evil enemy. Who would have thought, especially not you, my reader, that these two best enemies would still be best, but best friends. But, all good friends start with a fight, and this story, I am telling you most definitely has a starry fight.
You see, back then, men didn't have guns, bombs, or airplanes. They had catapults. Very powerful catapults. You are probably wondering what they used to put in the catapults, aren't you? Well, this paragraph is the paragraph of creative chemistry and how the two men made a starry substance. For some weird reason, both The Cloud Man and Aster thought the same thought they thought and thought. They thought so much it became a tongue twister. Anyway, this starry substance is made out of two things, Sun and Moon." What? That doesn't make sense," is probably your first thought, but it's true, Sun and Moon. Here let me explain; The Cloud Man and Aster both took their catapults and scooped up pieces of the Sun, then they took their catapults over to the Moon and mixed pieces of the Moon with the Sun. That is why there are jagged craters on the Moon and hot pools on the Sun. The mixed substances hardened into huge, shiny, circular balls that we call Stars. But, I think you now want to hear about the fight. More specifically, The Star War.
The fight has begun. Aiming was pretty bad for both The Cloud Man and Aster. They kept missing, scattering all the Stars across our night sky. Day after day, the two men fought, and finally, success came in the wrong way. The two homes were hit at the same time, sending The Cloud Man and Aster shooting across the sky, straight into the same asteroid. They tumbled around, and finally stood up, surprised to see themselves on an asteroid. "What are YOU doing here?" They both cried. "YOU'D better get out of here this instant, or I will throw you into the blue sky!" A tough choice. Jump into the sky to get away from each other, or be thrown into the sky. Which one? Don't worry, neither of these 2 hard choices happened. Instead, the two men stayed on the asteroid for 3 years, trying in some way to get back to their homes and families.
