Romy and Julian met as students at the University of Nowhereshire in 2020. Romy came from a family of film producers, but longed to be a painter herself.  

Romy started out, in accordance with her parents' wishes, as a musical theatre major. They always wanted her to work as they did, in performing arts. 

Julian was a business major, who, like Romy, longed to make beautiful visual art. He hoped to become a sculptor.

Though both had friends in their majors, they longed to meet new people with similar interests. Both wanted badly to join the visual arts major. One day, they locked eyes in a GenEd leture hall, and felt a spark.
