Diploma of Holistic Counselling
The Awakening Group
2021

There once was a boy called Willy Wong,
Who always felt he didn’t belong.
So he set off on a quest,
Determined not to rest,
Until he discovered what was wrong.

Now Willy had a father and a mother,
Two older sisters and no brother.
They were a family of five,
And as immigrants learnt to strive,
But always looked out for each other.

Yet Willy had to leave home,
And embark on this journey alone.
He was being big and bold,
Venturing out into the cold,
And into the great unknown.

He came across a beautiful bird,
Singing the sweetest song he’d ever heard.
She gifted him a magic key,
Saying it would help set him free,
Then flew off without another word.

Willy was grateful for the present,
Though not sure what the bird meant.
It gave him confidence to continue,
With hope of finding another clue.
And so onwards and upwards he went.

He came across a grassy knoll,
With a strange door and tiny keyhole.
He remembered the magic key,
And put it in just to see,
Then was thrown into a magic wormhole.

As he regained consciousness at last,
He realised he’d landed in the past.
He’d travelled back in time,
By some magical design,
But the question was ‘why?’ he asked.

Then seemingly out of the blue,
He saw people he already knew.
A younger version of his father,
Along with grandmother and grandfather.
Yet he knew something was askew.

His grandmother looked heartbroken,
With so much left unspoken.
Willy realised she’d lost a son,
Whilst he was still very young,
And it’d left her completely broken.

When all is said and done,
Grandma lost the will to be mum.
Willy’s dad didn’t just lose a brother,
But, in a way, also lost his mother
From grieving the death of her other son.

This impacted Willy’s father,
Whom yearned for the love of his mother.
She wasn’t able to conceive
The love he was ready to receive,
Thus blocking its flow to any other.

Willy was starting to doubt,
Whether he knew what this was about.
He was in another dimension,
And couldn’t get their attention,
Yet was still watching it all play out.

???
Then he saw something on the ground.
It looked bright red, warm and round.
Realising it was his grandmother’s heart,
That he'd been searching for from the start,
Having been lost was finally found.
