good news, and desire relief from a troubled life.

The apostle Paul was preaching and it was quite lengthy. A young man was listening while sitting in a window. With the long sermon he fell asleep and fell out of the window to the ground.
Here's what the King James Bible says in
Acts 20 :7-19
And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.
So what can we learn from this event?
1. Eutychus sat in a dangerous place.
2. He was a sleepy young man.
3.He was more out than in!
4. He died & was revived.
Here is the bottom line to this story. Eutychus was in the right place listening to the teaching of the apostle Paul. Actually he is in reality, more out of it than he realizes and drifts off to sleep. He ends up dead on the ground below. Brother Paul comes to his rescue and the young man is brought back to life. Paul was the instrument that God used to save Eutychus. This story has a happy ending.
Sadly millions are asleep & falling headlong into addictions of every sort. They are refusing God's call to repent and to be saved.
This road of mortal life ends for us all sooner or later. Let's not be asleep to the reality that we all face. Eternal bliss and joy with Jesus Christ or eternal torments and sorrow.
