Arizona's Great Facts!

Introduction
Today will be learning about Arizona. Just to get started you need to now there is a two page glossary at the end of the book. Last thing is this is an official chapter book.
Chapter One: Arizona's Basics
Arizona's 2020 population is 7.2 million. Arizona became a state on February 14, 1912. That was Valentine's Day! Arizona's state animal is the Cactus Wren. Arizona's rank is 11 in population in the US.
Arizona's gem is aquamarine, and Arizona is 113,998 sq. mi. That is all of Arizona's basic information.
Chapter 2: Our Topography
The Grand Canyon is a ginormous gorge located in Northern Arizona. It goes down to bedrock 1.24-1.56 billion years old at its deepest point!
We also have many deserts. Arizona is the only state in the US that touches every North American desert! All of South Arizona is in the Sonoran Desert! While the Yavapai, Coconino, and Tonto National Forests cover most of North Arizona. The other deserts cover the rest of Arizona.
Chapter 3: Our State's Symbols
Arizona's state symbols range from our state motto "ditat deus" to the beautiful Grand Canyon.
Arizona's Grand Canyon is most known as Arizona's best national park encountering over 2.3 million guests every year!
From the raging Colorado River at 1.5 billion year old rock to the beautiful forest-covered Colorado and Kaibab Plateaus, the Grand Canyon is 1.5 miles deep!
With hard to access North Rim at 9,600 feet and South Rim at 8,600 these are the most common ways to get to the Grand Canyon.

South Rim, Grand Canyon, AZ
History of Grand Canyon:
8 million years ago the Colorado River started carving through 276 miles of land. It kept eroding land even today it keeps eroding!
Ditat Deus is our state motto. It is a symbol, of course. It has a coat of arms, too.

This is the seal of Arizona:
it means "God Enriches" in Latin.
Chapter 4: AZ Cities
All cities and towns in Arizona contain 6.9 million out of 7.2 million living in Arizona.
