The store manager cried, "Even though there is a saving of more than 50%, there are hardly any people! I even had to hire a new worker thinking there would be so many people in the shop!"
"As you can see Mr Johnson is extremely distressed. So, if you're listening to this right now, please drop by at 'ToyShip' near Weatherbound where there is a huge sale. That's it for today".

"Hmmm, what's so special about the sale. Let me go and have a look too." mumbled Clammble in a surprised manner.
Not a single ray of sunlight was peering down on New York City. It was as gloomy as it usually was in December. Clammble was wearily walking home from school. He lived with his parents and his dog, who he treated like a sibling. All his worries, secrets, even secrets he didn't write down in his diary were put into Bobby- his dog's head. Clammble's life also revolved around his BFFs - Max, Jake and Greg.

Hi! I'm Max!

He's Bobby!

Hey wait for me! Greg is coming!

I'm Jake!

While walking home, Clammble spotted the huge sale in ToyShip. He rubbed his shoes against the floor mat while walking into the shop and unplugged his earphones. He curiously walked into the shop, remembering what Mr Johnson had said about the shop being empty. The shop was unusually deserted. The atmosphere was extremely humid and sticky. The toys around didn't have a particle of dust, but layers of moisture was visible. He thought it was a great opportunity to go and do some investigation like he always did whenever something looked fishy.

As such, there wasn't anything too exciting, unless you count falling face down with a bunch of soft toys on yourself, as exciting.
Just when Clammble was heading for the door, he spotted something that caught his attention. It was a huge object that looked like a robot, taller than Max who was even taller than some of the eighth graders. The odd looking 'toy' was definitely something to investigate.
He went closer to the robot-toy and saw it had a red dot in the centre of a ginormous round disc, which was made up of stainless steel. It had a sharp point where the red dot was located. Then, Clammble moved his head a few inches down and spotted a big yellow sticker with black writing saying, 'WARNING'. This made Clammble feel funny in the tummy, but Clammble always thought that warning signs were just for timid people. And so, without thinking another moment, he began looking around for a big red button that's always visible when something says 'WARNING'.

He felt a sudden sense of triumph when he found the red button. He looked around to make sure no one was there. Then, he did what his instincts told him to.

HE TOUCHED IT!

He felt a sudden jerk going ahead and then backwards, and then felt as if he fell straight on the floor. He opened his eyes in a few seconds, feeling dizzy. He soon looked around to see what had happened and found the robot-toy looking 100 times bigger. He walked a few steps ahead and found a rectangular object lying in front of him.
He thought it was just a toy fallen off the rack and tried to pick it up. But, even after 30 attempts the toy was just too heavy for him to lift. He tried to see what it does by tapping on it but was suddenly blinded by the light that shimmered. After a few more instances like this, he realised what had happened to him.
HE HAD SHRUNK HIMSELF!

Clammble had no clue how he could revert back to his own size. He suddenly got the idea of calling his parents and telling them what had happened. He searched his pockets for his phone, but it wasn't anywhere. He tried looking around and spotted something that looked similar to what he remembered as a phone. He went near it and was once again blinded because of the crazy bright light. Clammble had no choice other than to scrap the idea of calling his parents.
Then, before Clammble could think of anything further, he heard an enormous sound. It startled him terribly. He then, realised what it was and felt stupid to be scared of a door opening.

He tried looking at who had just entered, but it didn't take him too long to know who it was, considering the size of normal human beings in Clammble's Tiny World. It was a worker who had just entered the shop.
Unfortunately, this was the new worker and didn't know most of the toys or objects around. The worker glanced around the shop looking for his colleague. He walked past Clammble quite a few times. Finally, Clammble stopped breathing, to resemble a toy but he was already flying in the air with something clenched around him.
Instantly, Clammble was dumped in the 'Assorted Dolls' box. Clammble felt suffocated as if he was under thousand humans.

Clammble thought it was a good idea shouting whichever names he knew to try and make the people move off him.
"Ummm, Bob- Ryan- Lily- Daisy- Isabell- Donald- Mickey- Rose- Mike-" he said in a scared voice.
After saying all the names that he could think of at that very moment, he realised he was talking to a bunch of plastic bodies. Once again, he felt stupid. The feeling of confusion, anxiety and fear, were just not syncing into him. After a point, he gave up trying to escape. He just lay there waiting for something miraculous to happen. Sadly, nothing happened until 4:00 pm.
Once again, Clammble was startled by the sound of the door opening. He was stuck inside a cardboard box at least a meter deep. Clammble began mumbling again, "How am I going to see who it is? What if it is mum- or dad? What if it was-"
But Clammble stopped, when he heard something that he was longing to hear in what felt like an eternity. He heard his friend Max speaking to the annoying new worker, who had dumped him in the box. For the first time in last 10 minutes he'd been lying there, he felt a sense of hope. As soon as the voices of Max and the new worker had stopped, Clammble felt like the time was coming.
Max walked past him a few times before stopping right next to the box but a little confused. He slowly turned to look inside the box and Clammble held his breath to resemble a toy. And then, Max thought it was nothing special, so he began walking again, but Clammble accidently moved and caught his attention. This time though, Max realised something he hadn't before, and picked Clammble up.

Max held him close to his face.
Clammble heard Max mumble, "I need to buy him and show Clammble's replica to the others. Jake and Greg will be delighted to see this" he said in an extremely evil manner, with an evil snort at the end.
Clammble was a little unsure why he hadn't mumbled his name but he decided to let it go.
Soon, Max along with Clammble arrived at Max's house. Max's house had plenty of surprises that Clammble never thought he would encounter.
When they entered, he saw the way Max was treated by his parents. No one had time for poor Max and he was only allowed to do his homework. He had his tiny little room up in the attic. Then, Clammble remembered what Max had told Jake, Greg and him, "The attic is for junk only. I can't even imagine going in there".
Clammble felt ashamed of himself, invading someone's privacy. He thought that Clammble's Tiny World was something no one would have imagined.

Then, when Max went out to have dinner, it was so quiet, that they could probably hear a pin dropping in the attic. In a few seconds Max's parents had a heated argument. Meanwhile Clammble's stomach went funny again. This time it wasn't because he was scared, but it was because he was hungry. He thought while there was loud screaming going on it would be easy to sneak to the dinner table without anyone noticing him.

With great difficulty he managed to grab some food but any more would make his hands fall off and expose him.
So, he quietly tiptoed back under the table and managed to place himself exactly where Max had left him. He was glad that he was safe where he was and that he could now have a good night's sleep.
The next morning, Max had woke up Clammble from deep sleep and decided to dump him into his bag so he could take him to school. At school, Clammble felt as if he didn't even exist. No one heard him talk or no one saw him raise his hand; it was a dreadful experience. Then he realised he really wasn't existing for anyone.
At lunch time, Max showed Jake and Greg the doll. Clammble felt happy to be be with his friends even though he couldn't say anything. But, while he was brimming with joy for being with his friends, he heard something that changed his mood completely.
