Chapter 1: Magical Mermaid Rescues

Ever since Addy was very little, she had always been very connected to magic, and now that magic is going to be put to the test. Today she found out that she is a mermaid, and she has the ability to do many amazing things, but she’s very worried that she won’t be able to do a good job. So come on the journey with her to find out if she’s good enough for the job.

Today Addy was going for a swim in the sea when all of a sudden she heard a tiny little whimpering sound. She went over to see what it was. She found a baby seal caught in a net, and it was about to be pulled up to be slaughtered. It was horrible and awful, so Addy had to do something about it. She swam up, froze the net, and snapped it open. The baby seal swam away, but she noticed something was wrong. The seal wasn’t acting normal. It was like all of its magic had been drained. So she went to investigate what happened.

Addy followed the baby seal who finally stopped at a mysterious underwater train station. As the baby seal swam through the station, Addy saw many animals locked up in cages. She could sense that all of the animals’ magic had been drained, and many of them seemed to be hurt. She knew if they didn’t get medical attention soon, they might well never see the light of day again. Addy knew she had to help, but she didn’t know how to. Could she remember how do use her powers like she was taught in mermaid school? She wasn’t sure that she could do it!

Addy swam past all of the cages, and she broke all of the animals out using her magic. Addy was eventually able to restore all of their magic, but it was very difficult, and she felt very tired afterwards. She thought she could take a tiny nap to recover her strength, since it was just an abandoned train station, but right when she was about to doze off, she felt herself being put into a cage. She didn’t know what was happening, and then a strange merman came out. He was wearing a metal suit. She realized he didn’t have a tail. She didn’t know what was going on!

The metal man picked up the cage and carried Addy to an abandoned underwater lab.  He started to speak: “Listen, mermaid. You’re going to be very useful to us. We want to drain the entire magical universe so we can have all of the power, and you are going to help us. Oh won’t you, dearest mermaid? Otherwise, we would be very upset. Now you’re going to stay in that cage or all of those animals are going to go boom. All right sweet heart?” Addy was whimpering, “Okay, please don’t hurt my friends!”

Addy worried she had to find a way to break out of her cage, when all of a sudden she felt power she had never felt before. She was thinking of how badly she wanted to help her friends, and suddenly there was a huge explosion. Addy realized that her water magic had become even stronger. The cage was torn to bits and she swam out as fast as she could. She made a huge bubble around herself and the other magical animals to keep them safe. They swam far away, and she made the prettiest, perfectest magical crystal castle in the universe where the sea animals could live. 

After the huge, pretty castle was made, she gave all of the animals extra special amazing magical powers. Then, all of a sudden a cute crystal crown appeared out of nowhere, calling to her. Addy somehow knew that she was able to either keep it for herself or give it all the other magical creatures. She chose to give it to everyone else, and after that day she was named Addy the Honorable and Kind. The other magical creatures made Addy a special crystal castle of her very own, where everyone was allowed to visit!

Chapter 2: Addy’s Daughter, The Fire Mermaid

Addy had fallen in love with a poor but very kind merman, and as all beautiful stories go, they had a daughter. They named her Amber. Amber, being a fire mermaid, was beautiful and kind, but there was something different about her. She couldn’t control the water nor the sea, but had powers that could only be seen above the surface. This is the story of the adventure of the fire mermaid.
