Dinners ready!

John was playing with his friend one afternoon when his mother called him in for dinner. John left his friends and ran inside.

At dinner, Mother announced, "We are moving out west!" "There are many great opportunities for us." said Father, "It will be greater! We have bought 160 acres of land for $10 and we will live on the land for at least five years."

John didn't know what to think and stayed quiet for the rest of dinner.

That night John packed his stuff and thought about the move.

"I would have to leave all my friends." he thought, "But can make new ones." "Will I have to work a lot? Will it be hard?" he thought.

"Father said it will be good for us so I will believe him."

They traveled very far to reach their new home. The journey was hard and tiring but they made it through.
