Dedicated to those with muscular dystrophy.

Noah was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy as a toddler and became wheelchair bound. Once he started school, his peers became very curious about their new friend.

They would ask questions;
"Noah, why do you sit in a wheelchair?"
"Why can't you walk?"
Noah was a very smart boy and tried to explain why he was in a wheelchair.
Lucky for Noah, his teachers were wonderful. Mr. Smith and Ms. Williams always did their best to accommodate to Noah's needs.
The school had handicap accessible playground equipment which allowed for Noah to play with his friends. His teachers always did their best to help him in any way they would.

Because of Noah's caring teachers, Noah is able to be involved at school which made him enjoy it.
But that doesn't mean that life outside of school was always easy.
In public, people stared and whispered because they didn't understand.

Just like at school, small children always asked questions and Noah and his parents were always happy to answer. But the curious children's parents did not like their little one asking questions. They thought they were being rude.

Noah and his parents did not believe that though, and they did not mind people wondering. It was understandable.
