        One hot, sunny, July, day, the Dakota Valley Panthers 

14u softball team went to the League Tournament. There 

first game was against Elk Point Jefferson Huskies. The first 

inning of that game was a total blow out. The Panthers were 

beating the Huskies in about 3 innings, but they kept 

playing Lucy and Kitty Kat Carter were the pitcher and 

catcher for that game. Lucy was Pitching Kitty Kat Carter 

was catching, Britt Schubs was playing third base, Clark was 

playing shortstop, Rubster was playing second base, at first 

they had Bay Schubs.

     Coach Darrick placed Sydnee in center field 

they had Jordy in left and in right they had 

Noodles. By the time that they had reached 

the fifth inning they had won the game and 

they all knew it the game ended up being 14-

0.

      The Next game they played was against 

Lennox. They all played the same positions but 

Brooke the cookie and Lucy they would switch 

on and off pitching. Lennox put up a fight and 

Jordan Younger had a ball hit passed her in 

center field and they had no girls on and the 

ball was a line drive straight passed Jordan 

younger she threw the ball from center field all 

the way to home plate. 

       Kitty Kat Carter got the ball in her 

catcher’s mitt just as the girl was about to 

slide and put the tag down for the third out to 

make the score 2-0 at the end of the second 

inning.
