Goal

The goal of basketball is to make more baskets than the team that you are playing against. The team that you are playing with needs to work together on both offense and defense to be able win the basketball game. 

Scoring

If a team makes a basket they will either be rewarded with 1 points 2 points or 3 points. If a free throw is made the team is rewarded 1 point. If a shot is made anywhere inside of the curved arc on the floor the team is rewarded 2 points. If a shot is made anywhere behind the curved arc on the floor the team is rewarded 3 points. 

Roster 

Teams consist of at least 5 players. You can have as many players as you want on your team. 

Ref

The Ref is the person who controls the game and makes sure that all the rules are being followed by players. If players commit a violation in the game the ref will reward the other team with free shots or give them the ball back.  

Rules

Each team has 5 players on the court at a time. Each player must follow the rules of the game while they are on the court or else they will not be able to participate in the game. If a player is not following the rules the Ref will let them know. 

How to Score

To score in the basketball game the ball has to go through the basket and through the net at the end of the court. To be able to get the ball through the basket the team needs to be able to shoot, pass, and dribble. 

Shooting

When shooting a basketball you want to put your dominant hand in the middle of the ball. Then you want to put your other hand on the side of the ball. With both hands on the ball you want to push the hand that is in the middle of the ball towards the hoop snapping your wrist down when the ball is about to leave your hands. When shooting the ball you want it to have arc when going towards the hoop and the ball should also be spinning in the air from you snapping your wrist down. 

Passing 

There is many different ways that you can pass the ball to your teammate. You can pass with 1 hand or 2 hands you can throw it over your head or you can throw it under hand. The goal when passing the ball to your teammate is to hit them in the hands so that they can make an easy catch.
