There was a family that had a TV.  In this family was a mom, dad, brother, sister, sister-in-law, a bird named Tweety, grandma, grandpa, uncle, and aunt.  They were happy as can be until one day when something was gone forever.  That one day came when everything went wrong. Someone must have taken their TV that they loved so much. Who could it be, was it one of them? Who would do something like this? It was a sad day for them and it was a mystery. They will have to figure out all of the clues to see who done this. Can they do it? I do not know if they have the courage to do it, we will see. 

The Family

The next morning, they were looking for clues. Everyone is at home except one person, the uncle, who was out at the market buying some food for the family dinner. Mom is in the kitchen making bread. Dad is in the gym doing laps. Sister and sister-in-law are getting dress to help mom in the kitchen. Tweetty is in the kitchen in her cage having fun.  Grandma was in the living room doing some word searches. Brother is making some decoration. Grandpa is in the garage working on the family car. Aunt is outside running with her best friends and having lots of fun. Even though they were all busy they kept going over in their heads, what happen to the TV.

Then uncle came back from the market and everyone asked where have you been. He told them he was at the market because they needed some food for dinner. So, Mom said “thank you and so where is the food”. “What food?” said the uncle. “The food you got at the market”. Uncle looked at everyone, “oh! that food”. Everyone said yes so where is it?  Is it in your car, or at the store and you forgot to bring it home to us? Uncle said, “I need to rest for a few moments and then I will tell you everything you need to know, well not everything but some things. Please give me some time to rest for a while. I love you all so much”.

Uncle woke up and everyone was standing over him and he said “What, do you need something please leave now I need to rest I told you that already”. They told him, you need to tell us where you put the food and what you got at the store. Dad said, “If you don’t tell us, we will all go for a ride to the store, so tell us now”. Uncle reluctantly decides to tell them. And so he begins, “okay here we go, so when you all were doing things around the house I went to the store and I got some bread, cereal, chips, some frozen foods, pizza stuff, some drinks, and things like that. 

Then I went to the checkout line and I was getting ready to check out when someone cut in front of me and I said, “Madam you cut in front of me when I was here first.  The lady whose name was Martha, apologized and said she didn’t see me standing there. She was in a rush to get to her house. I told her I understood and let her go on ahead. Uncle said, “So now that I told you that, can I rest now?”. Dad said “No there is no rest now. You need to tell us more of what actually happened”.  Uncle insisted, I told you what you needed to know.  And then he let out a chuckle.  Dad decided, everyone was to come to the store even the uncle. 

But, he said, “No, I’m good here by myself. So, you guys can go but not me”. Everyone looked at dad to see what he would say next.  Dad said to the uncle, well we will need you to help us and tell us which isles you were in and what cashier you went to. So let’s get him to the car. So, everyone was going to the car. But then the uncle turned around and headed for the house.  Telling them just wait for me I will be right back I’m going to the bathroom. Dad agreed to let him but told him to make it quick. By this time everyone was getting tired of all this. It was doing nothing to help find the missing TV.   Dad said, just give him a few more minutes and then if he does not come, I will go get him. 

Finally, the dad got out of the car to go inside when the uncle started out of the house. So, they all were in the car and going to the store.

Now they are in the store looking around for the groceries that the uncle was supposed to have bought. Dad decided everyone should split up and find the groceries the uncle said he got. When they had looked through the whole store everyone met back were they started. Dad said “oh no, where is the uncle?”.  Everyone looked around, I think we lost him in one of the isles. They decided the brother, sister and sister-in-law should go look for him.  The others would stay there in case he came back their way.

 It wasn’t long when they found him in the cookie section stacking boxes on the shelves. Jane, the sister-in-law said to the uncle, what are you doing? The others looked confused as well.  Their uncle had been acting so strange all day and keeping them from finding out what had happen to their TV. They looked at him and said it was time to go and stop messing around with all this nonsense.  

He said “I’m not going home until I’m done with my work. He then asked them to go he needed to get back to work. Still confused they agreed and left him there.   When they got back to where they left the others, the mom asked, where is uncle you were supposed to bring him back with you. The sister-in-law explained what had happened. They all were just as confused.

Dad decided he needed to get to the bottom of this and asked them to show him where the uncle was. The kids said “okay come with us and we will show you”.  They went back with the whole family but the uncle was not there. Jane, the sister-in-law said “He was here before stacking the shelves”.  So, where is he now? Now they were all very confused and getting very frustrated.
