I love you.

Hi in there.
Mom just told me you’re growing in her belly.
I’m Desiree, your big sister.
Oh, how I can’t wait to meet you.
I wait and wait for you to be born.
Mom says you’re coming in January.
As the months pass and Mom’s belly keeps growing.
That means you’re getting bigger and will be here soon.
What will you look like?
Will you have brown eyes like me?
Curly hair like our brother?
Be tall like dad?
Have mom’s smile?
Either way, I know you will be perfect because you’re my little sister.
It’s December now only one more month and then you’re here.
“The Doctor says it’s time to go to the hospital we may be having a baby,” Mom says.
But wait it’s only December.
I worry.
Are you big enough already?
Are they sure you’re done growing?
As we get to the hospital in the lobby there is a tall Christmas tree.
It could almost touch the ceiling!
There’s a sign that says, “Write a wish and place it on the Christmas tree.”
