Kian and his family have been in America for a while now and he was starting to miss his home.
He loved his home back in Iran and all of his friends and family there.
He thought that they were just on a long vacation here in America, but it's been so long and he was starting to think he might never get to go back to his home in Iran.

One day, Kians mom told him that he had school the next day.
Kian thought this was weird. He thought school was just for when he was at home, not for when he was on vacation.

The next day, Kian went to school.
Everyone was playing together except for him.
He spent the whole day alone and confused because he didn't speak the same language as everyone else.

On the bus ride home that day, he was lost.
He didn't know where to get off and he ended up being the last kid on the bus and he didn't know how to get home. He still considered home to be back in Iran.

The bus driver had to call his parents to come pick him up back at the school.

When they got home he said to his parents, "I want to go home! I hate it here! I don't know what anyone is saying and nobody wants to play with me. Can we please go back home now?"

His parents sat him down.
"Kian, were not going back to Iran. This is our home now. We're staying here."
Kian ran crying into his room. He was devastated. He missed everything about Iran.
A couple hours later, Kians parents brought him to a park nearby to play soccer and cheer him up.
Kian loves soccer. It was his favorite thing to do with his friends back in Iran.

He noticed that some kids from school were also there playing soccer.
His parents said to him, "Go join them! It will be fun. We will be right here watching you"
