My name is Sally and I need extra support at school to help me learn. Child Find helped me get the services I need.

I am entitled to a free, appropriate and public education.  Appropriate education gives me supplementary aids and services that I need.

I am placed in the Least Restrictive Environment so I can be successful with supports. 

I receive nondiscriminatory evaluations which include assessments in my native language, and assessments that are age appropriate and appropriate for my characteristics.  I also receive more than one test and tests are administered in all areas by knowledgeable professionals.

My records are kept confidential and are only shared with people that work directly with me.  My parents and family have a right to see and obtain copies of ALL records.

My parents also have rights to procedural safeguards.  My parents must be invited to any meetings regarding my services and they must give written consent for any decisions made about these services.
