"Those are poppies, after the first world war these flowers started growing all over Flanders Field covering the floor in red. Many people like to believe that each of the flowers represent soldiers who died here on the battlefield."

"This poppy that you're wearing is for something called Remembrance day. It's on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. It's a day where we dedicate our time to the people who lost their lives for us."

"But why is Remembrance Day so important?"

"In the war, many people lost their lives for the freedom of our country, that's why we take time out of our lives to reflect. Your grandpa fought in the war; whilst on this field he was shot by a German soldier and passed away. It’s important that we remember because he and many others sacrificed their life for us."
