Chapter 1.
”Luster Dawn, I would like you to meet someone,” Said Twilight.

“Of course, princess,” Said Luster Dawn.

“Luster, this is my little sister, Melody,”Said Twilight.

Chapter 2.
The young alicorn smiled at Luster. “Hi,” She said. “I’m younger than you thought I was, huh?”

“Maybe,” Said Luster.

“I’m not much older than you.” Said Melody.

“How are the pridelands, Sis?” Asked Twilight.

“Kinda quiet since we returned from the tree of life.” Said Melody. “Though I guess when your friends with a honey badger things are never technically quiet,” 
“The pridelands?” Asked Luster.

“It’s where I was raised.” Said Melody. “You May not know this but I was abandoned as a baby,”

Twilight nodded in agreement. “You wouldn’t have been happy here anyhow,”

“When I returned to Equestria,” Began Melody. “The tree of harmony was acting somewhat strange. Before I knew it, it had sprouted six more elements. That was the day me and the lion guard became the secondary elementals.” 
“Wow,” Said Luster breathlessly.

Chapter 3.
”Would you like to meet them?” Asked Melody.

“Yeah, yeah of course!” Said Luster.

“Hey Mel! You here?” Asked a voice.

“Yep! I’m in here, Kion!” Said Melody.
A teenaged lion came in.

“Perfect timing,” Said Melody.

She nuzzled him, careful not to poke him with her horn. 
“Kion, this is Luster, my sister’s student,” Said Melody.

“Hey,” Said Kion casually.

“Hello,” Said Luster shyly.
”Zuka Zama!” Said Bunga.

“Bunga!” Scolded Melody.

Kion laughed. Melody glared at him and he stopped laughing immediately.

“Kion! Melody! Bunga!” Said Ono. “We need to go! It’s urgent,”

“Sorry, Sis. We have to go, goodbye.” Said Melody.

“I understand little sister. Go, the pride lands need you,” Said Twilight.

Chapter 3.
Soon. “So, what happened?” Melody asked.

“Well, someone showed up, a Pegasus, I believe, claiming that she was Scar’s daughter,” Said Ono.

“What?” Asked Kion, clearly shocked.

“She said her name was Gazini.” Said Ono.

Chapter 4.
”But that dosen’t make any sense,” Said Melody.

Ono shrugged. “I guess not but not a lot of things make sense,”

“True,” Said Melody.
”What else did she say?” Asked Kion.

“That her mom passing away was Ahadi’s fault,” Said Ono.

Kion sighed tiredly. They took the first train home and arrived swiftly.

It was true- Gazini did look a lot like Scar, besides the fact that Gazini was a Pegasus. Her mane was short and the same shade of Scar’s mane once was. Her tail was long and the same shade.

She attacked Kion first.

Kion quickly got the upper hand but not without a cost. He felt a searing pain in his left hind-leg, and found himself unable to stand.

Chapter 5.

He cried out in pain, causing Melody to rush over to him. “Oh my goodness!” She said, seeing his left hind leg twisted into a definitely unnatural position.

Kion gritted his teeth, as to bite back the pain. It wasn’t working.

“I’m fine…” He said, giving Melody a not so reassuring smile.

“Your not fine. I think your leg is broken!” Said Melody.

He whimpered silently. He tried to push himself up, but only cried out and fell back to the ground.

“Ow, ow, ow…” Groaned Kion.

Chapter 6.

“Guys! We need Makini! Quick!” Said Melody.

Kion was growing dizzy and tired.

Makini gently touched his injured hind leg, earning a cry of pain from Kion. He tried to pull away from her. 
“Kion, you have to stay still,” Said Makini.

“I know but it hurts like crazy,” Kion said through gritted teeth.

“Here, hold my hoof,” Said Melody.

Kion nodded and held her hoof tight. He tried not to move. With his other front paw, his claws dug into the dirt, trying to bear the pain.

When Makini was finally done, he sighed with relief.

“It’s more than broken,” Said Makini, standing up straight. “It’s shattered.”

“Yikes,” Said Melody. 

Chapter 7.

“Don’t try to stand, Kion. You’ll just make it worse,” Said Makini.

Kion whimpered softly.

Melody wrapped a wing around him as he started to lose consciousness.

“Don’t worry, Kion. Your safe,” She whispered into his ear as his head slumped to the ground.

“Kion!” Said BesHte.

“He’ll be okay, it’s just too much pain for him to handle right now,” Said Makini.

They all sighed with relief.
Gazini had been defeated by then.

They rushed Kion back to pride rock on Beshte’s back.

Makini tenderly laid Kion down on the ground.

“He’ll be okay in a month or two,” Said Makini.

Simba and Nala glanced at Kion and then at each other.
