Once upon a time, there were six best friends
that lived in the town of Tamusa. They had been
friends since as far back as they can remember.
They were so close in fact, that when they grew
up, they even got jobs at the same editing
company in town so they could work together all
day long.

They did not have much in common at all,
but that did not stop them from being
friends.
There were the twin birds Victor and Willie,
who always dreamed of owning a pet store,
a fabulous flamingo named Seymour, a silly
rooster named Ivan, a very orderly pig
named Ollie, and one very strange raccoon,
named Connie.

Every year since college, the six best
friends would travel to the beach for spring
break. They would swim in the crystal
clear, cool water, and build marvelous
sandcastles on the beach. It was their very
favorite holiday.

Tamusa Editing Company
Now, before anyone could safely take a
week long vacation, there were a few
projects that needed to be taken care of at
work.
Seymour quickly started reading the
passages before him at the editing
company. His job was to make sure that
everything flowed. If there was a sentence
that was too hard to read, or maybe it just
didn't fit, he would take care of it.

Tamusa Editing Company
Ollie and Ivan were a team. Ivan double
checked to make sure that the topic was
clear and made sense. While Ollie would
verify that there was a strong beginning and
ending and the paragraphs in between were
all in order properly.

Tamusa Editing Company
Victor and Willie were also a team. Victor
would scan the pages of texts and ensure
that personality and tone were used
throughout. Willie's job was to search
through the writings and make sure that the
writers used strong and juicy words.

Then there was Connie, a raccoon with a keen
eye, who on a good day, could spot a
grammatical error from a mile away.
Today, however, was NOT a good day. Connie
was feeling a bit under the weather.

No matter how hard Connie tried, she just
wasn't her usual self.
It started with the charity sign at the office.
What should have said "Can Food Drive"
ended up asking "Can Food Drive?"

Ohhhh, my aching head
As the day went on, the five friends at the
editing company witnessed even more
grammatical errors from Connie.
Commas were left out when they needed to be
left in, and left in where they needed to be left
out.
They even almost published a horrible
magazine cover that Connie fudged.
