In this town lived many families but this one family, the
Goodwin family was different. Martha Goodwin had just
started behaving very differently from the other kids. It
just started happening after an argument with her
laundress, Goody Glover.

A couple days later Martha's younger brother and two
sisters started behaving in a strange way as well. Goody
was arrested and blamed for bewitching the children and is
later hanged.

About 4 years later a girl named Abigail Williams and
Elizabeth Parris begin to act just as the Goodwin
children had. A couple days past and Ann Putnam Jr.
and other girls that lived in Salem begin to follow in the
footsteps of Abigail and Elizabeth.

Tituba is then asked to bake a "witch's cake" and she feeds it
to a puppy. Legends have it that when you feed this cake to a
dog or a "familiar" of the Devil the spell would counteract. This
said to happen because the cake contains the urine of the
afflicted.

The girls are later pressured into admitting who caused
this odd behavior and Elizabeth accuses Tituba. The girls
also accuse Sarah Good and Sarah Osbourne. After being
touched and beaten Tituba confesses and also claims Good
and Osbourne worked with her.

Now it seems that Ann Putnam Jr. starts experiencing
the same behavior as the others and she isn't the only
one. Mercy Lewis, Mary Walcott, and Mary Warren start
to act just like all the afflicted girls.

Another girl cries witch and this time the witch is Martha
Cory. We have another witch, Rebecca Nurse who was
accused by Abigail Williams. More and more people are
being accused of witchcraft and pretty soon there is a
third, Elizabeth Proctor.

Someone is finally brave enough to stand up against this
foolishness, but by doing so is accused of witchcraft.
This person was John Proctor, the husband of Elizabeth
Proctor and when he stood up for her he became the
first male to be accused of witchcraft.
