Endangered!
Axolotls are endangered species meaning they are in danger of being extinct. Which is not good

The leading causes of Axolotl decline are human development, waste water disposal, and loss of habitat due to droughts. Despite their prevalence in the aquarium trade, these species are critically endangered in the wild.

Diet and habitat
Axolotls eat worms, insects, small fish, and just about anything else that can fit inside their mouth and swallow whole, including other salamanders! In the lab, axolotls are fed brine shrimp, California blackworms (Lumbriculus varigatus), and salmon pellets.

The axolotl is native only to Lake Xochimilco in the Valley of Mexico, as well as the canals and waterways of Mexico City. Because they're neotenic, their habitat reflects this: a high-altitude body of water. This is unique to axolotls, with other salamanders having a much wider distribution

How to HELP
If you want to help all animals, including the axolotl, consider replacing fish with vegan alternatives like tofu, seitan, or tempeh. Asiatic carp and tilapia, 2 big predators of the axolotl, are often artificially introduced into habitats where axolotls live. Also stop polluting your waters! The water is connected you know so you pollution could Hurt more then just animals near you!
Educate others!Post articles and news stories on social media about the importance of protecting axolotls and their habitat. Provide links to reputable charities and sites so friends, family, and acquaintances can read about them from credible sources.
