Chapter I
(Cristina Stoicescu & her students)
Once upon a time, if it were not, it would not be a story, a distant kingdom ruled by a good king known throughout the world for his righteous judgment. But this king had three daughters, and according to the old laws, his place could only be taken by a boy. That is why the king decided to marry his daughters to good and worthy boys to follow them to power after he was gone. However, his daughters were extremely pretentious. The youngest girl, hearing her father's wish, was very sad, because she, even if she was a girl, wanted to prove to her father that she too could do everything a boy could do, so she went to talk to him.
After telling her father that it doesn't seem right for the kingdom to be ruled only by a boy, the little girl offers to show her that she can do whatever she wants, like a boy. Her father agreed, so she got dressed in men's clothes and went to the big world to prove to her father that she could do whatever she wanted.

She was walking and she met an old shepherd who was trying to get his sheep into the stable. The girl, seeing him struggling alone, said to him:
- Hello old man!
-Good be your heart lad!
- But what are you trying to do here?
-What to do… look, my sheep got out of the stable and I struggled to put them back…
-Well, if that's the case, I'll give you a helping hand as well, so I'm in no hurry…
She didn't even finish his word as a girl, sprinting as she was, and jumped out of her chair and began to deftly lead the sheep to the stable.
The old man thanked her, as he should, and invited her to sit with him at his poor table in his little hut.
The girl, knowing that it would be rude to refuse him, reluctantly accepted, glad that she had helped a good man to finish his work.

The two sat at the table and, talking; the old man said to her:
- Thank you again for your help. Would my son be very happy to know that a good boy helped me without claiming anything in return?
-But where is your boy? Why isn't he here with you to help you?
- Where to be… take… the master of these places takes all the young men in his army and goes to unknown lands to conquer them… No one escapes…
Hearing all this, an idea came to the young girl… What would it be like to convince the owner of those places to let the young people decide what they want to do with their life….
Chapter 2
(Floratou Marilia and her students / 35th Larissa kindergarten)
All night the princess kept thinking about what the old shepherd had told her: that the fields were uncultivated, that the families suffered from both the loss of their children and from hunger and poverty, all these the difficulties that the people were facing in that country because of the constant wars. No one would react because they were afraid of the king. The girl felt full of anger and indignation and wanted more and more to do something to change that situation.
Next morning, the princess, who kept pretending to be a boy, headed for the king, but before she managed to approach the palace, two guards grabbed her and took her in front of him.
- "Who are you boy? How did you get here? Why are you here and not fighting in the war? " the king asked angrily.
- "My King, I am not from this country, I am a stranger and I found myself here by chance but I want to tell you that in my country, our king does not send the boys away from their families to fight in foreign countries because this is totally unfair. My king, you should also stop doing this, breaking up families and sending young people to war. All humans have the right to live in peace and live their lives in free will".
As soon as he heard these words he became very angry and ordered the arrest of the "boy" and “his” imprisonment in the darkest and most isolated cell! No one was allowed to approach this child and talk to “him”. When in prison, the princess kept protesting:
-"Get me out, it's unfair to have me locked up in here! Let me go!"
In the next cell, there was another boy who listened to the shouting of the princess. Finally he approached and told her fearfully:
- "Keep quiet and don't shout because you will infuriate the king even more. In this way you will put both our lives in danger! We must be obedient".
But the princess kept complaining. After a while, she realized that her protests were in vain because no one could hear them. She sat in a corner and started talking to the boy. He said he was in prison because he refused to go to war and that he was upset about his father who had left behind, the old shepherd. The girl then told him that she had met his father and that his father was waiting for him to come back. Then they thought they should find a way out of there. But how? The boy suggested using a little birdie, which was his companion in prison, as a messenger. He wrote a message in a tiny piece of paper and send it to his father explaining that he was in prison along with the "boy" who had helped him the day before, asking him to help them out of there. When the old shepherd got the message, he didn't waste any time. Dressed as a guard, he slipped into the castle, grabbed the key and released the two children. Then the princess said to them:
-"Don't worry! I know how I will convince the king to stop this injustice."
So she dressed herself with her normal princess clothes and went back to meet the unfair and arrogant king, but this time as the daughter of the king of the adjacent country. When the bad king saw her, he was dazzled by her beauty and willingly sat down to listen to what the princess had to say to him.
Then the girl began narrating stories from her own country: that the people enjoy living in peace, happy with their families, that they grow their fields and no one is hungry and cold, that everyone is free to live their own lives and that the king there is fair and takes care of people, so they all love and respect him. The bad king, having listened to all this, began to be troubled. He knew that the citizens of his own country obeyed him, just because of fear and not respect or love. So he decided to try to change the way he rules.
Enchanted by the princess's wisdom, he asked her to marry him, but the princess replied that she did not want to get married yet, because she had to see and know a lot of things around the world. Then the king asked her what she desired as a present because he wanted to please her. But the princess wanted no expensive gifts for herself, she only asked him to stop all wars that his country was involved in and to bring back all the young men who kept fighting abroad. The king marveled once again at the princess's interest in other people and let her leave the palace.

Before leaving the country the princess changed her clothes again, dressed up as a boy and went to the old-shepherd and his son, to thank them for what they did for her and greet them. Her trip wasn't over. She had much more to see, many countries to visit. She bid them farewell and set off her journey filled with curiosity and excitement for all the adventures that were lying ahead.
Chapter 3
(Jordi Cid and Aida Basora & their students / Escola Font de l’Arc)
One day the princess came to another kingdom. In that kingdom people were very sad because they had to load the king in a carriage whenever he went out to watch how the country worked. As he did little sports and ate too much, he weighed a lot.
The princess stayed to live in the country, she thought it was full of good people, kind and hardworking. But the day came for her to carry the king. She saw that it was very hard and that it was impossible for people to carry so much weight and do that much effort.
The princess, disguised as a boy, went to talk to the king. After a long conversation about the problem the king said:
- But what do you say, it’s sure that the people like to carry me on their shoulders. It's an honor for them.
- Nooo, what do you say? I've taken you once and it's very hard. The villagers probably don't like it. - The princess commented.
- No! I am the king and the people must do what I say.
- We could vote to see what people think.
- Nothing. - The king finally said - Besides, you're from outside and your opinion doesn't matter.
The princess became very sad, left the palace and sat down on the street crying. A very poor gentleman who passed by asked her why she was like that. She told him everything that had happened. The man agreed with the girl, he also thought that it was important to be able to vote to make decisions and that the king had to listen to their people. In addition, if an emigrant had to load it when it was his turn, he also had to be able to decide if he wanted to do it or not.
They both went to visit the king again, now there were two of them, and insisted that he let his subjects vote.
As the king didn't agree. They went on to spread the word so that more people could come together to defend it.
They made a proclamation convening all the villagers in the Central square of the village. Everyone knew that the foreigner had proposed to the king to vote to decide whether the people agreed to charge on their shoulders the king in his visits or not. They all agreed to go see the king and ask him to vote.
When the king saw that everyone was asking him to vote, he was forced to accept it. The inhabitants of the kingdom could choose whether to continue charging their king or not.
The people who had never been able to decide anything were very happy. That afternoon all the inhabitants went to vote.
There were a hundred votes that said they didn't want to bring the king and a vote, which was the king's one, that he did want. The king had no choice but to go on horseback from that day or on foot, so he would do exercise!
As the princess had helped them, the people invited her to a celebration party.
A year later, the king was happy because his new life made him feel healthier. And their people love him much more than before.
After a while, the princess left the village and went to other lands in search of new adventures to be able to prove to her father that she could be a good queen.
Chapter 4
Alina Bogdan & her students
Gradinita ,,Ciupercuta,,/Romania
The emperor's daughter went a long way and ended up in a totally different kingdom from what she had seen so far in her way.
The kingdom was rich and beautiful, everywhere there were fruit orchards, gardens full of delicious vegetables, multicolored flowers decorated the streets and courtyards of houses. The wealth of the kingdom was seen everywhere.
On either side of the road, people's houses were wonderful, beautifully decorated, and on top of a hill stood a proud castle made entirely of precious stones. The roof shone proudly in the midday sun as if it were the sun itself.
Never had the little princess seen so much wealth. She was happy to eat some delicious fruit from time to time to satisfy her hunger.
But suddenly, he saw that something was different...all this wonderful scenery was missing...people.
No man was in the kingdom, everything was deserted ...
Curious by nature, the princess approached the castle to see if it was inhabited.
She knocked on the castle door and was delighted to hear a voice:
- Hey, did anyone hit? Is anybody out there?
- Yes, I'm a good man! ..the princess replied.

Suddenly, at the end of sumptuous marble stairs, the faint figure of a king appeared. He was simply dressed, like an ordinary man, only the crown on his head shows that he is king.
He invites the stranger to his castle, but warns him that once he enters he cannot leave. The "stranger" enters and the king was very happy and feasted on him with all the goodness of the kingdom. The princess felt very well and because she was brave she asked the king why the kingdom was deserted and he would not let her go.
Then the king sadly confessed that he wanted to share these riches with the people, that he would like to have many friends around, but no one wants to stay in his kingdom. Therefore, when someone comes, he does not let them go.
The princess, who was smart, made a deal with the king:
-If I bring you many people here who want to live in these places, will you let me go?
- Sure, the king replied happily, but distrustful of the words of the "stranger."
The princess asked the king to give news over the seas and lands that he was having a big party where everyone was invited to see his kingdom and that no one was obliged to stay. King, I do as she says.
A lot of people came to the party. They danced, ate selected food, and enjoyed the wonderful kingdom. After the party, although they knew they could leave, many wanted to stay in those rich places. Gladly, the king received in his kingdom all those who wished.
Then he went to the "stranger" who helped him and asked him:
- How did you know that if they see the beauty of my kingdom, people will not leave?
- Not only the beauty of the kingdom is the reason why they want to stay! They choose to stay because they are free, because you no longer condition them and they can make these decisions on their own.
The king realized the mistake he had made and gave the law that no one in his kingdom would be forced to stay by force and that every man was free to go and come whenever he wanted.
Happy that she has solved things, the princess goes on to new adventures.

The next day Princess, dressed up as a boy, reached another kingdom. She was surprised because it looked abandoned. She was walking carefully and looking out for inhabitants.
Suddenly, the Princess saw a boy. He was crying.
- What happened? Why are you crying? – she asked.
- I miss my family !!! – he bumbled
The boy told the girl everything about the King who has his own rules and he sends all people to prison. There are almost all residents.
- My parents were sentenced because they had fed animals in the forest in winter. It was forbidden. King said to my brother:
„I don’t like colours of your clothes! You mustn’t wear them, so go to prison!” My brother was put into prison because of colourful clothes. Some people are in a jail because they have too long hair. If people haven’t got the same concepts as the king, he doesn’t know what to do and finally put everybody into prison. If people don’t agree with the King, they are always guilty - said the boy with sorrow.
- I can help you! I’ve got an idea! – said the Princess happily.
She went to the King immediately.
- Your Majesty, I came from the wealthiest Kingdom. I’m really glad to talk to you. – said Princess. - I heard that you are very very busy. I think you should not work so hard.
- You are right my friend – answered the King - What do you suggest me?
The Princess only waited for this question.
- In my kingdom the lord has wise people who help him to rule. They constituted the law and all people know their rights and respect them. Thanks to this, the King has a lot of time to visit his people, admire his beautiful kingdom and travel around.

King was really grateful for valuable advice. He chose the most intelligent people from the kingdom and they prepared the rules. The Princess helped to create the law too.
The Main Rules:
All people in the Kingdom are equal and free
FORBIDDEN: war, slavery, torture, discrimination
The King wanted his guest to stay forever in his palace but the Princess said: „I can’t stay. I must go because
I have an important mission to accomplish”.
All unfairly sentenced prisoners were released. People were extremly happy.
The boy and all people thanked the Princess for her unpaid help.
After a while and after walking, walking, walking, the princess reached a country which was completely different from the previous one. There were no colors, only grey, white and black. You could see rubbish everywhere and there are landfills all around. The smell was unbearable.
CHAPTER 6
Anagnostopoulou Theodora and her students
by Kindergarten of Gonnoi
Factory chimneys sent black clouds into the sky. Both river and sea waters were polluted. The fish were dead. The factories dumped all their waste in the rivers and from there ended up in the seas. But that was not all.
Cars noise, noise, exhaust fumes… and at the port the ships dumped all their waste into the sea. You could not stand anywhere. And the people were grey, hazy, sullen and sad. They went and came from their jobs without talking to each other. The children on the street could not be heard. There were no playgrounds, and all the children were closed in their apartments. They played with their toys all alone.
Of course there were the other children who lived in the landfills. They did not have a house and they played with the garbage, with whatever they found between them. "Wow, what a dirty country this is and what a horrible smell. Pooh! Fortunately I have a clothespin in my pocket. Let me close my nose so I don't smell." The princess kept going but each time she confirmed that she did not like what she saw. So she thought, "But how do these people live in the dirt?" “Why don’t they do something to change? Don't they know what the rest of the world is like? Have they forgotten what it is like to have trees, birds and flowers? "
Suddenly, she hears noise, doom and car horns on the road; she turns and sees a glittering car sealed and a gentleman in expensive clothes sitting inside the car with a perfume on his nose. "Who is this?" asked the people around. "Our king," they replied. She tried to approach the car but she couldn’t reach it so she decided to follow it. Finally, she arrived at a place completely different from the rest of the country. It was a sealed place. It did not smell there but there were trees, grass and a very clean palace.
The king got out of the car and entered his crystal clear palace. The princess followed him and came into the palace.
She asked to see the king after she changed clothes and presented herself as a princess to the king. "Good evening, King. I come from far away. Your kingdom is a little strange.
There is dirt, stench and infection everywhere. But here in the palace everything is spotless and smells nice. Doesn't that bother you? Don't you mind?" "No. It is my people’s problem that they live like this. I'm only interested in their working. The factories should be active in order to make things and my ships should travel across the seas to bring me money. I want a lot of money. As much as possible.» "Yes," said the princess, "but if you continue to pollute the environment with factories’ fume and waste, soon all people will get sick, the land will not be clean and the seas will be polluted." And then, how will people be fed? How will wheat be produced? How will the fruit be made? They will all be infected. And very soon people will be eliminated, they will be lost. There won’t be trees, animals, people… Then, who will work in your factories to bring you money? Don't you see that something must be done? "
The king then started thinking about it. He understood that the princess was right. Something had to be changed. So he started giving orders. Firstly, factories and ships will not dump waste into rivers and seas. The garbage and trash will be collected in specific places. Recycling and composting factories will be built. Nothing is rubbish anymore. Everything can be reused.
"Well done my king! Your decisions are very right. You will see that in a year everything will have changed."
As a matter of fact, a year later the city was nothing like the old grey city. The rivers had been cleaned and fish were swimming in them. The seas were crystal clear and the children were swimming. Grey was nowhere to be found.
You could see playgrounds full of trees and flowers and children running and playing happily.
People went to work with fun and joy because now the atmosphere was spotless and they did not breathe the exhaust fumes.
From a grey country it had become a colored country. And the king was very happy because the people were working even harder and therefore he was not short of income. And so he decided after a while to take out the crystal bowl that was inside his palace and to come even closer to the people of his kingdom.
The princess, after all this, was very happy to help the country solve this serious problem ...and left for her next adventure...
Chapter 7
Maria Ecaterina and her students
The princess walked through a beautiful green forest, where birds flew from one branch to another, chirping in trills, multicolored flowers seemed to smile in the sun, squirrels climbed through merry trees, and deer flaunted their beauty among the bushes.
Everything was wonderful!

The princess was very happy, she thought she would never meet anyone who would make her sad. But it didn't take long for him to see a little house, next to which sat an old woman on a bench dressed in shabby clothes, very sad and thoughtful.
The girl approached her and asked:
- Hello!
"What happened, Mother? Why are you so sad?"
She told the girl with tears in her eyes that she had been alone for some time, because there lived a very greedy king in that land, who wanted to conquer as many territories as possible. That she has a boy who took care of her, but that she was called by the king to prepare for a new conquest. She cleans it, but when she is old she has no strength.
