Leo loves to play at the park, but sometimes he gets nervous to go because of the spots on his skin. Other children can make him feel bad about himself.

He and his mom were walking to the neighborhood park one afternoon. As they got closer, Leo's hands started to get clammy and he started walking a bit slower.

Once they got to the park, they saw three children were already running around and playing. Leo grabbed his mom's leg and hid behind her.

"Are you okay, Leo?" his mom asked him.

"I'm just feeling a little nervous." he responded.

"It's okay to feel nervous. Just be yourself and have fun. When you are ready to go, we will head home."

Leo could see the three children just staring at him. After a few minutes they walked up to him.

"Why do you look so funny?" asks the first child. Leo just looks down at the ground.

"I've never seen anyone look like you." the second child says, "what are you supposed to be?"

Leo runs to hide behind a tree. His eyes are full of tears.

"Why are you being mean?" the third child, Bella, asks. "You made him feel bad just because he doesn't look like you!"

Before Leo's mom could check on him, Bella goes to him and says, "I'm sorry my friends were mean. I think your skin is so cool. I have some spots on my leg since I was born."
