SEA ANIMALS IN ACTION

Once upon a time there were a turtle, a little fish and a seahorse that were good friends and lived at the bottom of the sea. The turtle’s name was Lily. She was small, she had a shell and she could swim very fast. Her friend Stripy was a little orange and yellow fish. The seahorse was called Jumpy and he was beautiful.
One day they met a big octopus. He had eight legs and his name was Octo. He was really angry.
Class A - Alicia Pérez Ruiz. CEIP Cesáreo Alierta - Zaragoza (Spain)
When Lily, Stripy, and Jumpy saw Octo's anger, they first got scared of him and tried to run away. Then Lily suddenly noticed the plastic bag wrapped around one of Octo's legs. They went close to Octo and asked him to stay calm. They said they would help him and get his leg out of that plastic bag.

-I'm very angry with people, because they throw rubbish in the sea and get tangled up in my tentacles, he said Octo.
So Lily grabbed the bag with her mouth to free Octo."
-Be careful not to swallow Lily, Stripy and Jumpy shouted. But Lily put a lot of force to pull her and swallowed her.

At first everyone was shocked because they all loved Lily and were afraid that she would get sick.
What can we do? - said Stripy
How can we help her? - said Jumpy
Then Octopus said very seriously: I want to help her because this happened to her for helping me.
So he grabbed the turtle with his tentacles, squeezed hard on her belly and made her spit out the bag.
Hooray! they all shouted
Thank you Octo. I was so scared! - said Lily.
Class B - Alicia Pérez Ruiz. CEIP Cesáreo Alierta - Zaragoza (Spain)

Octo the octopus was a wise octopus. He said we can't let our sea get polluted any more. We need to find a solution to it. Jumpy asked, "Well, what can we do?" Octo wanted everyone's opinion to be spoken. Just then, a thin voice was heard, it was Stripy's voice. He started to say, "I think everyone should take a piece of garbage from the sea and leave it on the beach. When people see what comes out of the sea, they understand how they pollute the sea."
NAFİYE SICACIK/EFELER ZÜBEYDE HANIM ANAOKULU AYDIN/TÜRKİYE

The message spread fast to alli the sea creatures_ to the huge Orca too. When she heard it, she swam fast to help her friends. Every fish took a piece of plastic and with Orca's help, left it on the shore.
Then, they swam deeper in the sea and waited for the people's reaction.
Anthoula Zissi - 7th Kindergarten of Veria (Greece)

People passed by the beach and when they saw the garbage they were very sad.
At that moment they decided to clean up the beach.
When the fish saw the beach all clean, they were very happy.
The sea is not a dump, it is the home of fish.

Together for a cleaner sea

Skanzo and Zazu entered the cave . They saw two octapuses lying there, Mani and Ti. When the octapuses saw the puffer fish and the seahorse became very happy. The octapuses began to talk and tell their news when suddenly they became sad and angry with the people who don't care about clean environment and throw rubbish in the sea.
Stavroula Alexiou 145th Kindergarten of Athens-Greece

Hearing the news, Kuki the Turtle immediately came to the cave with his friends Mani and Ti. Zazu and Skanzo were also there. Together they started to come up with ideas about what else they could do about the pollution of the seas.“We can gather all the sea creatures at the School of Fish and collect the trash in the seas,” said Kuki the Turtle. Seahorse Zazu, let's send a message to people by writing the slogan "PLEASE DO NOT POLLUTE THE SEA" with the garbage we collect.

When friends arrived at fish school, mermaid Maya, the school teacher, noticed that they were all looking very upset and asked them what's going on. They explained why they were angry about and their plans about collecting the garbage and send a message to people to stop poluting the sea. Mermaid liked their ideas and offered to help them. She said she could get out from the sea since she was half human and give their message to the rest of humans.

Five beautiful countries surrounded a beautiful, blue and clean sea. This sea was called the Sea of Friendly Countries.
The five countries were: Croatia, Greece, Spain, Turkey and Romania.
People from these countries came to this beach to sunbathe and feel good.
In the sea lived a lot of beautifully colored creatures, corals, sea urchins and more.
Sometimes large ships with people who wanted to see this beautiful place also passed on this sea.
Anania Oana/Kindergarten with Extended Program Dumbrava Minunata, Satu Mare, Romania
But one day the people and animals that lived around and in this wonderful sea saw something they had never seen before: some strange and dirty things in their sea. It was rubbish !!
Some were floating on the surface of the sea and some had sunk to the bottom !!
"How did that happen?" everyone wondered.
Unfortunately, some of those who had come to admire the Sea of Friendly Countries had left their garbage on the beach and the wind had blown it into the water !!
After that day, other careless people did the same and very quickly the Sea of Friendly Lands was filled with garbage !!
The people and marine life who loved this sea were very sad !! They had to do something !!
Irene Vasilaki, Dimitra Papadaki-7th Kindergarten , Ierapetra,Greece

The Earth heroes of the 5 beautiful countries that came to see this beautiful sea did not know what to do. They immediately decided to do research. Together they started to come up with ideas on how we can clean the sea. One of the earth heroes "How about we design a trash can?" "But we have to design this baton box so that it doesn't sink in the sea or flip over on the water surface," he said. Another of the earth heroes said, "The mouth of the trash can should be at sea level and it would be a very good method to put a filter bag that will hold the garbage that enters it, but will leave the seawater back to the sea." will return. Thus, the garbage floating on the sea surface will enter this bin, but the sea water will flow through the filter and return to the sea.

The Earth heroes got down to work to build the "Garbage Eater" machine.
Once created, they began their cleanup mission.
From the beach they handled their remote-controlled invention and with binoculars they watched that no animal got stuck in the mouth of the "Garbage Eater" or swallowed some of that dirt.
Meanwhile, another group of Earth heroes was dedicated to collecting the garbage that they took out of the water and classifying it in the different containers: one for glass, others for paper, two for plastics, because there are many! And a special one for all the used masks that had been thrown into their precious sea.

The sea is very big so the superheroes had to watch carefully from the watchtower so they wouldn’t miss anything. And the people wished the sea would never be so full of garbage again. They decided they would never leave garbage on land again so the wind wouldn’t take it into the sea because they wanted to save fish and other sea animals. When the sea was cleared, everyone admired that beautiful and clean sea again. People were happy because they could swim in it again. They used recycled waste to make everything they needed for planting and planted seeds in the forest so that it would be full of flowers and other plants. At the end, everyone was thankful to the Earth superheores: people who were able to enjoy the beauty of the sea again, the sea animals that could swim freely and happily and the nature that came to life again.
