This is Mollie, a seven year old girl who is about to start a new adventure! Mollie's family just moved to North Dakota, and she will be starting a new school tomorrow.  

When Mollie wakes up in the morning, she will be going to first grade! Her mom and dad told her that she will make new friends and her teacher Mrs. Smith is very nice, but Mollie was still too nervous to sleep.

Before she knew it, Mollie was sound asleep dreaming of the most perfect start to a wonderful first grade year! 

She was woken up by the smell of her mom's fluffy, famous pancakes! Mollie knew it was a special day if her mom made her pancakes for breakfast, they always seemed to make her feel better!

After breakfast, Mollie wanted to pick out her first day outfit. Her mom let her pick it out all by herself. 

Mollie picked out her favorite blue striped shirt, floral skirt, and her comfy black sandals. Her outfit made her feel confident and excited to go to school. 

Now that she is ready for school, she had to complete her morning chores of feeding her dogs and taking them outside to play before she left for the day! She hoped that they did not miss her too much while she was at school. 

Mollie saw the bus pull up to her stop, and she waited anxiously to take her seat. 

Mollie set next to a girl named Sophia on the bus, and found out that she was also starting first grade! Sophia introduced Mollie to her other friends on the bus, and they both learned they were in the same class!

Finally after Sophia showed Mollie around the school, they made it to Mrs. Smith's class. 

Mrs. Smith classroom was bright and colorful! Mollie knew that she would fit right in! Mrs. Smith began to go over the classroom rules, and Mollie and Sophia both sat quietly and listened.
