  It was a beautiful evening in Bunn Farm. Jacob and his Daddy were riding on the golf cart named "Blue".  they turned onto a street called Deerwalk. halfway down the street Jacob saw his friend Thomas.  Thomas was a new friend in the neighborhood. He was from England.  "it's good to see you today," said Jacob.  "Good to see You too," said thomas in his british accent.  Thomas was at his driveway.  He had an older boy standing beside him. Thomas said, "Jacob,  I'd like you to meet my brother Adam."   "nice to meet you," said Jacob.   "I'd like you both to come to my house tomorrow to play," Jacob said. "sure,"  responded Thomas and Adam. Then Jacob and his daddy rode the golf cart back home. 

Chapter 1 

Jacob Meets His New Friends

Thomas and Adam showed up at Jacob's house the next day. they rode the golf cart around the backyard. "Let's pretend we're a firetruck heading to a call," said jacob.  "this is fun!" said thomas and adam. Jacob's daddy said, "Let's go see a real firetruck."  Jacob's daddy was a city fireman. when they got to the fire station, they saw ladder truck thirty.  the engineer Mr. Greg let jacob's friend sit in the cab.  Jacob and thomas watched the bucket raise up and lower down.  When the bucket was down, the engineer helped Jacob into the bucket.  afterward they returned home.  

 " thanks for a great day," said Thomas. 

Chapter 2

The big move

The next morning Jacob got up to watch some TV in his room. He overheard his mom and Daddy talking about moving to another house. Jacob was surprised. He had always thought he would live at Bunn Farm forever. "Oh no," Jacob thought.  "I don't want to move," he said to himself.

    Some new homes were being built in Willow OAK. "Let's go see our new home," said Jacob's daddy. "it's not too far away," he said. When they arrived to Willow Oak Jacob thought, " I don't want to live here." The home was unfinished. Jacob went inside with his parents to take a look around. They walked up an unfinished staircase to the second floor. "This will be your room," said Jacob's mom. 

Jacob said, "I don't like this room." He could only see himself living in an unfinished attic space. "you'll like it much better once this room is completely finished," said Jacob's mom.  "you'll have so much more space," she told him.

    A few months later it was time to move. Jacob's parents unpacked all the things that had been in his room at Bunn Farm. Each item He took out of a box made his new room feel more comfortable. When everything was unpacked and, in its place, Jacob looked around. He was amazed. His room looked great. He had lots of space to play. Jacob turned on his stereo and listened to his favorite music. "This room is just right for me," He thought. 

Chapter 3 

Jacob Gets His Motorola Droid

One beautiful morning at Willow Oak Jacob was having fun talking on his cell phone.  his friend Thomas gave it to him before returning to England.  it was an old flip phone. Jacob enjoyed talking on it. He used that phone every day. But today, the phone broke.  It could not be fixed and needed to be replaced. 

      jacob didn't know what to do. That same day, Jacob's daddy surprised him by taking him to the Verizon store in town. jacob met James the store manager. ''Hello,'' James said. "hello," said jacob. "What can I do for you today ?" James asked.

 Jacob said, "I need a new phone, james."  "okay," james said.  He showed jacob two android phones.  jacob looked each one over but couldn't make up his mind. Then james said, "i know something you might like."  james walked to the store's back room. he was gone for just a few minutes. when james returned, he was holding a Motorola droid razor. he handed it to jacob." Take a look at this," james said. jacob looked the phone over. it was perfect. it was just what he wanted. jacob said," this is it. i like this phone." jacob found Netflix, zedge, YouTube and even a puzzle game he liked. He thought, "it has so many applications". jacob asked his daddy, "can I get this phone?" "sure," his daddy said and bought the phone. Jacob wALKED OUT OF THE STORE SMILING. 

when jacob got the phone home, he put a picture of Memim's roses as the background.  hE EVEN tried out different ringtones. tHEN HE downloaded MP3 skull and played some music. he had SUCH a good time using the NEW cell phone.  hE could HARDLY wait to show it to his mom when she got home from work.

Chapter 4

Blue's Breakdown

     Jacob was enjoying his new neighborhood at willow oak. iT WAS SUNNY AND Warm outside. He decided to take his golfcart "Blue" out of the garage for a ride.  Jacob and his mom climbed onto Blue. They headed down the driveway toward the road just in front of his house. Blue stopped near the mailbox at the end of the driveway. The golfcart didn't make a noise. It just stopped. It would not move forward or backward. 

The Golfcart was worn out. Jacob's daddy decided

it was time to visit his friend John at the golfcart shop. 

JOhn looked over blue and shook his head. He was unable to fix the golfcart.  Jacob's daddy asked, "how about a new golfcart Jacob?" 

Jacob looked around the lot and found a golf cart that was black.  "I like this one," Jacob said to his daddy.  So Jacob and his daddy took it for a test drive. It was so much fun.  Jacob Loved it. "daddy, can we get this one?" jacob asked. His daddy said, "yes" and bought the black golfcart. John helped Jacob's daddy load the new golfcart onto his truck. Jacob was so pleased. When they got home, jacob's daddy unloaded the golfcart and put it in the garage.  Jacob named the new golfcart "Shadow". 

    That afternoon Jacob and his daddy rode the golf cart to Wendy's to get lunch. They went through the drive through and got some cheeseburgers. Then they drove Shadow back home.

     after lunch Jacob and daddy got back on Shadow and rode all around town.  suddenly a highway patrolman appeared behind them. He had his blue light and siren on. Jacob and his daddy pulled over onto the shoulder of the road. The patrolman got out of his car and came over to speak to Jacob and His daddy. The patrolman said, "this is a road that a golfcart cannot ride on". Stay safe and ride just in your neighborhood." Jacob and his daddy thanked the patrolman and drove back home. Jacob only rode Shadow around his neighborhood afterward. 

It was another gorgeous morning at Memim and Papa's house. 

Jacob was excited to be with his grandparents again. Today, would be

 Jacob's first day volunteering for meals on Wheels. Memim and Papa drove Jacob in their Eighty-Eight oldsmobile to the Ruritan club to pick up the food plates that had been prepared. Jacob was wearing his Big Guy T-shirt and ball cap.  He put on a blue apron which said "Hail to the Chef".  Memim and Papa were very happy that Jacob wanted to help. when they arrived

at the ruritan club they wrote his name 

in the volunteer book. then Jacob began putting the food plates into the oldsmobile. Next He and memim and papa began their delivery route.  

Chapter 5

Jacob Volunteers for Meals on Wheels

      It didn't take long for Jacob to learn everyone's names and remember how to get to each house. Jacob enjoyed his deliveries. after dropping off the food plates he would visit briefly with   Ms. Midget, Ms. Parker, Ms Weaver, Ms Bachelor, and Mister and Mrs Williams. 

    The next time he volunteered for Meals on wheels, Memim and Papa decided to drive their minivan.  Suddenly there was trouble. The van kept chugging off.  This happened at each stop.  

Papa had to keep cranking the engine to keep it moving.  

 Jacob was able to complete his deliveries.   Papa was able to drive

 the minivan back to the Ruritan club to return the empty tote bag

 that once held the food plates.  Then it was time to go to 

McDonald's to get Jacob's lunch. What a busy day. 

Jacob was tired but happy when he returned home.

Chapter 6

Nana And Grandbob Buy a new RV

 ONe day Jacob was speaking to his maternal grandparents on the phone. Nana and Grandbob told him they wanted to get a new RV. They told him the new RV they wanted was in Texas. They would have to drive the old chevrolet RV to get there.  

    Nana and Grandbob packed up and drove all the way to the Berkshire RV company in Texas.  when they arrived, they met with the owner Mr. Banyan. He was expecting them.   Nana and Grandbob picked out an RV that was black on the top and gray on the bottom. Nana and Grandbob liked it.

it had baggage compartments and awnings for sitting under.  it had a generator in the front with an engine in the back.  Nana and Grandbob liked it. They decided to buy it and drive it back home to North Carolina.  It was a long journey from Texas. They stopped a couple of times and spent the night in the RV before finally making it home. 

    One evening at Jacob's house he heard a strange sound.  It was air brakes.  it came from outside his house. Jacob looked out his room window. Sure enough it was Nana and Grandbob. They had come over in their new RV. They parked it in the street in front of Jacob's house.

     The Berkshire RV was big and looked like a bus. Nana and Grandbob said, "Come on in and go for a ride with us."  Jacob and his parents climbed aboard. Aunt Shannon and Uncle neal were already inside. "Hey," said Jacob. Shannon asked, "are you ready to go Jacob?" "I sure am," Jacob answered.  Grandbob let off the airbrakes and away they went.

chapter 7

JACOB'S BIG ADVENTURE IN THE Berkshire RV

it was Another Beautiful Morning at Nana and Grandbob'S House. they Were loading the Berkshire rv For a family Road Trip to Burgaw. the passengers for this trip included Jacob's  Aunt Shannon and UNCLE Neal, his Nana and Grandbob, And Jacob's Mom. Everyone was so excited to go.    

    After Everyone got on board the rv Grandbob STARTED the engine and rolled out of the driveway. Jacob's Mom Said A prayer.  Once on the road Grandbob asked Nana, "Did we close the Gate?" Nana said, "I don't think we did." Nana Called back home and spoke with Jacob's Aunt Karyn. "Will you close the Gate for us?" Nana asked?  "Sure I will," said Karyn.
