In a little town in the hills of Wyoming, a
classroom of animals was very excited. It was
almost time for Thanksgiving!

"Tomorrow is going to be a special day!" the
teacher said. "I want each of your to bring your
favorite Thanksgiving food, and we will have a
feast together!"
All of the animals were very excited. They
couldn't wait to have such a delicious meal!

Right away, all the animals went home to prepare their
favorite Thanksgiving food.
"This is going to be the best Thanksgiving ever!" Freddy
the fox exclaimed.

Bright and early the next morning, all the
animals came to school with empty bellies and
smiling faces.
"Who wants to share their food first?" The
teacher asked.
"I will!" Said Freddy.

"I found a loaf of bread in a dumpster in
Laramie! We always go through the trash in
my family to find the best food. There is
nothing better than a trash can dinner!"

Some of the animals were
confused- Their parents
would never want to go
near a trash can.
Sandy the cow stood up.
"My food is so much
better than that! This is
the best all natural grass
that you can find in
Wyoming! My family
always gets it from
Jackson and eats it
together at
Thanksgiving."

"That sounds gross!" said Peter the dog. "We
have hot dogs every single holiday at my
house! That is so much better than grass!"

"That looks so weird!" Said Todd the chicken.
"What is a hot dog anyway? I have my favorite
food right here! It's some nice corn that our
farmer gave us today."

"That's crazy! That's not the Thanksgiving
dinner I know!" Said Gary the mouse. "We all
sit around a big wheel of cheese and give
thanks."
