It was a bright and sunny day. Jersielyn passed her test, so her parents took her to get In-n-Out.
While enjoying her burger and fries, she noticed something moving by the bushes.

To her surprise, it was a dog, and it was stuck in the branches of the bush.
Jersielyn ran over to the bushes to help the small tan dog.

Her parents noticed that the dog didn't have a collar, so Jersielyn said, "I'll name you Skye!"

"We should take it home and get her cleaned up." her parents said as they all got into the car.

Jersielyn waved a ball in front of Skye as she sat in the back seat.
Her other dogs, Rocky, Piper, and Pablo, rushed over to see the new dog when they got home.
Jersielyn's mom helped take Skye up to the bathroom, but Skye didn't want to get a bath, so she tried to run away.

Eventually, they got her into the tub, and as she washed Skye, Jersielyn thought about keeping her.
Even though Jersielyn already had 3 dogs, she could never say no to one more.

She dried Skye off and took her out to play with the other dogs.

Jersielyn ran around the house with them, saying, "I'm gonna catch you!"

After a while, her parents called her over for dinner, and they ate while the dogs watched from the floor.
Later that night, Jersielyn lay in bed with Skye and read to her.
All the dogs curled up around her, and they slept together.

Jersielyn woke up to Skye licking her face and making her laugh.

She got all of her things ready for school and got into her parent's car.
When she arrived, Jersielyn ran to tell all her friends about Skye. "I found a cute puppy at In-n-Out, I named her Skye!"
"You know, you should try to find it's owner," the teacher said. Jersielyn didn't want to, but she understood it was the right thing to do.

Jersielyn went home at the end of the day and got ready to do her homework, but Sky wanted to play and tore it up.
"Skye!" Jersielyn's parents came running to see what had happened.
Skye was wagging her tail and holding the torn paper in her mouth.

"Come, you can help us hang up the missing posters."
Jersielyn was about to protest, but she nodded.

They all got in the car and went around town, putting up posters with pictures of Skye on them.
