There once was a 5th grader named Grace, who was an only child.



Grace liked to sit in her living room and think.





Grace decided that she was lonely as an only child. She had nobody to talk to, and no one to play with.
Grace wanted a friend...a furry friend.
Like a cat!






Grace decided to ask her mother for a cat. Unfortunately, her mom said Grace was “too young” and “not mature enough” to take care of an animal.
This made Grace sad and determined.


Grace begins to try and prove to her mother how responsible she can be. She does multiple chores. Grace washes the dishes..


She sweeps the floor..



Grace does her homework and improves her grades!
A+
Even her mother notices a change.

One convenient morning, Grace's mother agrees to get her a cat.
Grace is bursting with excitement as they arrive at the pet store.






Grace picks out a pretty black kitten, and she is already in love with it.

Grace didn't forget to thank her mother, and they all went home with a happy attitude and an even happier kitty.
