Now
Hello! Now, I am in my cozy new bed, taking a nap by the crackling fireplace after several days of happiness and sadness. I have been with crazy people who sing too loudly, a kind dog who forced me to take a bath, people who ignore me because of another pet, and a family with the best tender heart. These are my most treasured adventures.

My Past
Part One: A Kind Heart
One day, I was joyfully playing with my new ball in my new home in the kitchen while scribbling on the linoleum floor. Then, my new family told me kindly, "Hedgie, let's go on a walk." I had not gone on a walk ever before so I did not know that I had to wear a leash, which I hated. Disgruntled, I trotted outside with my owners, and we walked around the block to a mysterious street I had never seen before. Since I longed to escape from the hideous leash, I sneakily broke the leash with my spines and darted off!
Scribbling on the linoleum

Neighborhood walk

I felt as free as a bee! I gleefully ran all the way to another house. I surreptitiously climbed through an open window and climbed inside, hoping to find more linoleum. Then, I started to sloppily scribble on the linoleum with a pencil because I thought it was silly.

Hee-hee!

Nobody came in. Then, I sneezed on the linoleum. Still nothing. Then I yelled, ''I sneezed on the linoleum!!!!!!!!!!!!!'' Finally, somebody entered the kitchen singing an irritating song that I did not know and still do not.

She crooned adoringly, "Wow! Humhumhumhumhum. You are so cute!!!!!!!" Perplexed, I thought, "Why is she humming?" She set up a cage, a water tap, and a cottage made of sticks with a bed.

The hideous cage was so musty that I felt nauseous! Since I was thirsty, I turned on the rusty water tap to take a drink. The water was disgusting! It contained dirt and was contaminated with rat droppings.

That is nauseating!

Disappointed, I slept in my cozy bed, but in the middle of the night, I woke up to the sound of somebody humming the same song I heard when I entered the house. I ripped a hole in the horrible cage with my sharp spines and escaped through an open window and dashed away!
Part Two: The Noise

I dashed all the way out of the neighborhood to a nearby hotel, rushing inside! I took the elevator up to the seventh floor. I was a smart hedgehog! The hallway on the seventh floor, which seemed to never end, had many doors. I chose a door with a number: 707. I knocked loudly on the door, and a hilarious dog wearing a top hat greeted me grinning greedily.
Part Three: The Hotel

707

Woof! Woof! Woof!
I hesitantly stepped in, careful not to slip on the linoleum. It was damp and musty and also smelled of rotten fish. There were crumbs in all the corners, and the lighting was dim. Dumfounded, I apprehensively asked the dog, "Why is this place in such disrepair?" The dog responded nonchalantly, "It is old."

I figured I would stay there for one night and then find a hotel room without a strange, stinky smell. I benevolently asked the dog, "Do you have any owners?" The dog responded vehemently, "Yes. They are at the front desk looking for a hand soap bottle." Laughing to myself, I thought, "That dog is very funny indeed!"

I politely inquired of the dog, "Where will I sleep?" The dog responded comfortingly, "You will sleep by the door. I will hide you with this towel, and you will be safe." "Good night," I yawned. Fatigued from the day, the dog commented, "I will wake you up when the people go to the hotel café for breakfast. Nighty night."

Welcome.
