Red-eared slider’s are aquatic. They live in areas of calm water where
they are able to leave the water easily by climbing onto rocks or tree trunks
so they can warm up in the sun. They require abundant aquatic plants, as this
is the adults main food.

The Carapace is the upper shell of the turtle’s body.

males is also thought to be larger and brighter. The female’s
