On a warm, sunny day, there was a small 

kitten that was very lonely. She did not have 

any friends and she just could not figure out 

why!

On this day, the kitten was feeling especially 

lonely. She decided to go out exploring to see 

if she could find some friends to play with.

The kitten came upon a group of black hens who 

were pecking at some seeds on the ground. 

She asked them if they wanted to play with her. 

After the hens discussed the offer for a few 

moments, they decided that they did not want to 

play.

They said, "We don't play with cats. We only play 

with animals like us!" 

This made the kitten very sad, so she went to find 

some different friends.

The kitten stumbled upon two pink pigs. She thought 

for sure that they would want to play with her! 

"Hi!" Exclaimed the kitten. "Do you want to play with 

me?"

"Sorry, but I only play with other pigs. I never play 

with kittens." Replied the pink piglet.

The kitten began feeling even more sad that she still 

did not have a friend to play with. She continued on 

to try and find a friend.
